And you believe Bryce Young weighs 205? Or that it's impossible to gain weight in order to make yourself seem heavier than you really are walking around? Come on.

Daniels still looks on the skinny side to me. Not built to be a dual threat. I don't care how little he got hurt in college. I question how well "dual threat" truly works, or lasts, in the NFL anyway. Lamar is an anomaly, a total phenom. Like no player I have seen before, or sense. Except for being the Aaron Judge of football and folding in the playoffs.
I'm saying Young weighed in at 205 at his pro day - maybe he wore ankle weights under his socks & a lead jockstrap. Lol. I think it doesn't matter whether he weighs 205, 195 or even 185, the organization is flushing him after just two seasons. Another #1 OA getting ran out of town. The Panthers just can't seem to find their franchise QB.

Well, at 210 on a 6-4 frame, Daniels is on the "skinny side." The average weight of a QB these days is 224 lbs, so he's well under that. His scouting report noted that he was "tall but slender" with concerns about his "durability." However, they also noted that he has the running talent to turn "scrambles into back-breaking plays."

The authentic "dual-threat" QB runs the RPO scheme in college. That's not probably not going to work that well at the NFL level. But just a mobile, agile QB who can run & keep defenses honest will be effective. Allen isn't a dual-threat QB per say (played pro-style O at Wyoming) but is definitely a running QB. He's averaging about 515 yds rushing per season - about what Elway averaged in the earlier parts of his career (in fact, Fanzio has characterized Allen as "Elway on steroids" Lol).

Put a fork in em since the Jets are finally cooked for th season.

Good win for the Dolphins but they need a miracle to make the playoffs I think. They haven’t been good with the season in their hands.

Chiefs at Bills was a great game, the Bills just did to the Chiefs what they’ve been doing to other teams this year. First game giving up 28 or more points by the Chiefs since the Eagles Super Bowl. That Allen run was crazy. I think it’ll be hard for the Bills to get the one seed, they needed Broncos to win last week. Chiefs run game should be getting even better in the next week or two when they have both their running backs.

Ravens cant get anything done against the Steelers. Just saw Steelers couldn’t even score a touchdown and still won. Ravens have been studying Chiefs too much.

Lions back on top after last week. Even though Packers and Vikings are nibbling on their heels they should get the division and one seed. Looking more and more like this could be their year.

Bengals season might as well be done as well after this choke job. Shouldn’t even have been in the game but allowed back in the second half to look like they’re going to win. Only to blow it with the missed kicks and Burrow not seeing a wide open Chase that most likely would have been a touchdown. Their defense and slow starts to the offense has sunk the Bengals season. If the Chiefs drop another game the 12/8 game could be for the division lead, not likely but possible.

Incredible win by the Bills. Didn't think they could put up that many points on KC, especially with players out on offense.

Amazing comeback by Geno Smith for Seattle. Heroic, clutch final drive! NFC West the tightest division in the league. Up for grabs.

Very impressive game by Bo Nix. And credit to Sean Payton. As arrogant as he can be, he knows football, and knew what he was seeing in Nix. Equally impressed by Denver's defense, again. Week 18 match-up with the Chiefs, in Denver, could be pivotal. Especially if Denver is about 9-7 at the time, and fighting for a playoff spot.
Agree on most counts except Sean Payton knows "his" football. He and Denver should do very well and Karma would have them meet Pittsburgh at some level in the playoffs. Weird how even middling efforts show character.

SEA with the win! Geno! Does he need to run more often (or did that only work well because he doesn't)? The O line still gets pushed around too much. The new center ended up not being a drop off though.

BAL vs. PIT was a strange, and strangely entertaining game.

KC vs. BUF was interesting. Josh!

LAC vs. CIN was two different games. A classic 'we got this' lull by the Bolts almost blew it. An inspired 'do or die' by the Bengals almost won it.

Several off setting personal fouls this week! Guys are angry!

I got visual whiplash from flipping from the SEA game to the KC/BUF game on commercials and deadballs. :p

Maybe the most predictable results of the week were the Jets and Chiefs losses. The Jets have got worse since Saleh left. Seriously Rodgers should retire if this is the best he can do. Chiefs have been living on borrowed time for weeks re close and sometimes lucky results plus some help from the refs. Their defense has carried them all season but the Bills ran the ball well and Allen as usual plays like an extra RB while the Chiefs offense has struggled to put up points.

49ers have one foot in Cancun. With the schedule ahead, the toughest in the NFC West having to play GB and the Bills next then the Lions later and having lost three of their four divisional games, it looks like it's not going to happen. CMC is back but looks rusty and they lost Kittle pre game which was a big blow with the season he has had so far. Bosa going down didn't help either on a defense that has been struggling. Too many penalties to the 49ers also hurt them. Geno played maybe his best game of the season and the 49ers continued with their 4th quarter blues. All three divisional losses have been by 3 points or less.

The Bengals remind me of the 49ers. They get in position to close out games then can't execute. It didn't help that their kicker kicked everything in the first half and collapsed in the 4th quarter missing a couple he normally would have kicked. Still maybe the most entertaining game of the week so far.

Another weird game for kicking at the Ravens game with Tucker missing multiple kicks but the Steelers kicker kicking everything. Wilson had a better game than Jackson and Harris had a better game than Henry.

The Jags loss will probably finish off Pederson.

Here's the thing, if the Jags are going to fire Pederson now, who replaces him? I guess Mike McCoy, former Chargers HC, but he hasn't exactly done well with Lawerence. And they are going to continue on with OC Press Taylor, who is maybe even more responsible for this mess than Pederson. And Ryan Nielson, the DC, after this performance? Like with Pederson gone, these guys will all of a sudden coach better?

Baalke has to be the greatest salesman in NFL history, at selling himself. 30-64 as a GM. Fooled the owner into thinking he crafted the most talented Jags team ever. I'm sure right now he's likely scheming, telling Kahn it's all Pederson's fault. But there's no reason he should continue on. Let's not forget he's the one who drove Harbaugh away from SF after riding his coattails, hired Jim Tomsula, then Chip Kelly (and likely helped jettison Kaepernick's career). Pederson fell into their laps in Jax. In a strange way, they, especially Baalke, were lucky he did after the Urban Meyer disaster.

With Lawerence likely out for the season, and Jones a horrible QB (with a noodle arm), their supposedly vaunted defense in shambles, they might as well just keep everyone for now, completely tank, fire everyone on black Monday, and start preparing right now with who you'll hire then.

Good point. Bienemy got sick of waiting for an opportunity and went back to college football. Some 49ers fans are calling for Shanahan's head but he's not going anywhere at the moment and would be out of work for maybe 24 hours if it happened. The elephant in the room is Bill B and whether he wants to return to coaching and whether a team wants to take on an aging autocrat ! I doubt he would go to a team like the Jags although he was all set to go to the Falcons last season before the Falcons got cold feet re the role Bill B wanted and it was more than just being coach.

Baalke is toxic and was close to being canned last season. Think he's gone for sure and will probably never get another GM position. He derailed Chip Kelly at the 49ers and the 49ers ran out of patience with his pitiful drafting. Jed York had enough and canned them both.

Yeah, Ravens couldn't get anything done. Especially when the coach keeps the best running back currently in the NFL on the sidelines for a 2-pt conversion and most of the 4th quarter.

Pittsburgh has beaten the Ravens, and Lamar, numerous times now. It's like the magic Lamar has against most of the league, the Steelers (and Chiefs) have it figured out. I also looked it up, OC Todd Monken called almost the identical game as he did in the AFC championship, where he abandoned the run, as if hitting the panic button, and asked and expected Lamar to throw on play after play. Harbaugh is on the hook for this as well.

Someone will hire Belicheck. I'm certain of it. Will he turn that team into a Super Bowl contender? I doubt it. He'll still be a good coach, but not the same as with Brady. Jacksonville would be his best shot, as the team could hire a GM at the same time and that person could split duty with Bill, mostly focusing on contracts and such, less on personnel and drafting.

Tommy DeVito was 3-3 with the Giants last year. He at times showed spark, and others seemed overwhelmed when pressured. But Daniel Jones is really good at throwing bad passes and interceptions when not pressured. He's definitely done in NY, and like Minshew in LV, likely to be a back-up the rest of his career.

I think the Giants are aiming to draft Shedeur Sanders, as are possibly the Raiders. Shedeur is only going to teams his father approves of, and Shedeur has actually said he expects to go to the Raiders, saying to hold on, he's on his way, like he's going to save the team. It's also possible either team may be forced to just hire his father as the HC. Whatever team it is, it will be surrounded by a spotlight of circus-like hype and buzz, whether it helps the teams or not. But teams are desperate, and owners very impatient. The Giants, Raiders, Jets, Browns, Panthers. All of those teams have so many problems, and it's going to take numerous players, likely coaching changes, patience, etc. for any QB in this upcoming class to thrive. I even question if in 2026 the "Arch Manning Sweepstakes" that teams really tank for, turns out to be the gold mine people expect. He's played okay this year, but Quinn Ewers has played better for Texas.

He might need the money to continue to fund his twentysomething former NFL cheerleader GF that he's now engaged to. Lol. In all seriousness though, what owner would hire an old stiff who drafted what appears to be another in a long list of 1st rd QB busts, and someone with poor communication skills with that constant mumbling (IMO, his best days as a coach are behind him).

I can't imagine being a college player for Sanders and dealing with the uncertainty of his ambition, regardless of what happens to the program when he leaves. Any NFL owner that hired him and drafted his son will find out just how much manipulation can be tolerated. That and Shedeur ends up apologizing for some juvenile behavior constantly. Vegas in general is a circus but you need a reliable Ring Leader and High Wire phenom; not more clowns.

Are you saying Deion Sanders is a clown? No say it ain't so!! Mr. Neon has had tremendous impact in attracting money as a college coach, his record is pretty good!
There are other NFL coaches that are volatile, I personally would not see what Sanders, father or son bring to NFL, but I feel the same about Bronny James.

With TV writing and producing, they do show sideline and booth shots of coaches, coordinators and GMs, owners, celebrities, especially Taylor Swift and select NFL wives, can't imagine what impact.. Mr. Look at Me would have on NFL sidelines and locker room.
If Netflix and Jake Paul are the current direction for NFL, and they clearly are.. Go for it..
If you would have told me Jerry Jones, Netflix, Dallas Cowboys, their cheerleaders, NFL would have been part of promoting a 58 year old Mike Tyson stumbling around the ring with oversized gloves, knee brace, 33% shorter rounds, I would call you crazy.
So short term has soliciting for the circus helped Dallas Cowboys?
I think of Roger Staubach, Tom Landry and it's hard for me to watch Cowboys organization.
As NFL goes international via Netflix and probably more to come ,Sanders family is a seamless fit

I agree that the NFL clown car is very much full with Jerry J at the wheel. My comment began questioning how a college player would feel, after recruitment, that the coach had left. The new NCAA rules allow player freedom and we've already seen wholesale roster rebuilds as a result. And yes, Deion ushers in a new era of Look At Me celebrity. The NFL is a brutal working environment where $50m players get benched; so it may deal with any poseur players in the usual Darwinian fashion. Unless Deion goes to Jerry's World. Then it becomes truly the Big Top.
Bronny James plays in the G league after a game alongside his Dad. They tried the Ball Family experiment in the NBA and it had a muted impact. Glad I don't see the senior Ball making proclamations every day!

And isn't it great to see the agony & frustration on Jerry's face with the crap team he's put out there. Lol (how many times during a game does the camera zoom in on Jones & his entourage of zombies surrounding him in his luxury suite? Lol). One of the most arrogant, pompous, imperious "I know everything about football" owners is sitting at the bottom of the division at 3-7. LMAO. And didn't he grease the taxpayers for partial funding of that AT&T Stadium? The cheapskate didn't want to pay for the entire cost of the stadium out of his $15B empire (it might have set him back a little too much. Lol).

Sounds like Sanders wants to play for the Raiders. And you're right, he'll only go to teams that his daddy approves of. And just wait until the dog & pony shoe we'll see with his kid after the college season is over up to draft day. Sanders has already moved up to the top QB pick ahead of Ward, Ewers & Milroe (these are the only ones mention for the 1st rd so far). The scouts are doing their usual backflips & cartwheels over Sanders' potential in the NFL (similar to the hype heard on Trevor Lawrence as a "generational talent" with those crazy comparisons made to Payton Manning. Lol).

I live in Denver 25 miles from CU-Boulder. All I hear on the local sports media is "Shedeur this & Shedeur that" & "Coach Prime this & Coach Prime that." With whatever team he decides to go to, he should wear a Superman outfit & fly into the team's headquarters ready to save the franchise.

Irvin thinks Sanders would take the Cowboy's job if they draft his kid:

All the NFL has to do is adopt the officiating rules of the UFL. Almost zero controversy there. But then again, the NFL thrives on controversy to an extent. Arguments can also be made that the NFL fosters a system where officiating bias can be used to change the outcome of games, and they want it this way.

Did Dallas forget they just signed Dak Prescott to the most expensive contract in NFL history? The Cowboys center-loaded the deal, set to pay him a staggering $89m next year. If they hire Deion to replace McCarthey, and draft Shedeur to play with him, what the heck are they going to do with Dak? No one will take on that contract.

Yes, Jerry would sell out almost every game, sell a heap of swag, but hiring and drafting the Sanders family doesn't guarantee winning the way so many people seem to assume. It's ridiculous. As Nomad has said, look at Trevor Lawerence, a "generational talent". Far more highly touted than Shedeur when it comes to measurables, not just name hype. Or Caleb Williams for that matter. It was said back in 2023 that the thing to do was not draft a QB, as the 2024 class was loaded with QB talent, with Caleb at the top of the heap. He was drafted to a team stock full of talent, and even he has struggled. So why on earth do people think Shedeur is going to walk into the NFL and just light things up, especially on a team like the Raiders that have so many needs. Didn't Johnny Manzeil think the same thing?

Here's the bigger problem I have with the whole Shedeur to the Raiders thing with him celebrating them losing, presumably so they'll draft him #1 overall. I despise tanking. To me it's tantamount to quitting. Admitting you're a loser. Not just accepting losing, but choosing to lose. All that does is create an environment of failure, quitting, losing. Imagine you're a player and you're under contract, but in a tough game, why even try hard if the entire team - HC, GM, owner, have embraced losing? And what player worth their weight in salt would want to be part of such a program? A program of quitters? Oh, they quit so they could get you? And you think that's going to change things in the organization? What happens if you struggle? Ever cross your mind they could quit on you as well? As the old saying goes, winners never quit, and quitters never win.
