Eastern Daylight Time and British Summer Time. The end time is 4+ hours from those times.

It turns out... it might not just be numbers I struggle with. It appears symbols aren't my strong suit either.
In my defence; I've been a little loop-sided all day, so makes sense I'd read "/" as "-"...

This software is my favorite forum software on the web, mostly because of the notification system, which every other forum can't seem to get right. I seriously hope that doesn't change.

Interesting, I have it disabled completely. But I can see the advantage of it if you are out of sync with the majority time zone.

Most other forum notifications are useless things like "xxx has replied to xxx thread", where there might be dozens of replies, most not to you. Which could be said of any thread you post to.

This forum's notifications are "xxx liked you post" or "xxx quoted your post". This facilitates direct conversation and engagement. Simple but strangely lacking in most forum software or setup.

I can't engage with the forum often enough to follow threads w/o specific notifications.

When you say "all day" I assume it means somewhere between 10 minutes and 40 years.

You log in, and then you have a million notifications because Sandisfan liked your posts.

DISCLAIMER! I was deliberately exaggarating.

I know she's old, but 40 years?!

Well in her defense she's also been pretty loop-sided.

But I did actually meet someone once, who had just realised she was a year older than what she had previously thought, so I won't rule out that RhD will one-day figure out she's mistaken 1978 for 87.

To be fair, those are some very tricky numbers!

Lucky for me, if you get confused by the last two digits in 1988, you get... 1988.

I see that now replies to ignored posts show that they are quoting ignored content. Good and welcomed change!

Every day when I log in I get a message at the bottom of the screen 'Cyclingnews Forum would like your permission to enable push notifications.' I always respond NO and it gives me another comment that I should take advantage of the feature. It also gives me the option to Never Get This Message Again, that I always click. Yet the next day when I log in I have to repeat the entire process

It always make me think web site developers never use the sites they make, or any other site. If they did use the web they would know how annoying and off putting the nagging is and say to themselves "I will never build a website that that nags because it can only drive away users." Yet such websites keep getting upgraded to include nagging.

Since last week, I have problems accessing the forum (and only the forum - cyclingnews.com works fine) from my home connection. The site doesn't load, but I get an "ERR_TIMED_OUT" message instead - no matter what device or browser I use.

After trying all kind of stuff suggested all over the internet, I brought this topic up on a help site of my Internet Service Provider, and other users of the same provider (Vodafone Germany) confirmed that they can't access forum.cyclingnews.com either.

I have no problem accessing the forum from my phone (unless wifi is activated) or with a VPN, but it seems like there is some kind of conflict between the ISP and this forum. Has anything changed which potentially could have caused this?

It appears to be a intermittent error. I got it for the first time today, loading the desktop forum site and when I immediately tried it on my phone, using the same internet connection, it loaded fine (the only real difference between the two is I'm not logged into the forum on my phone, but I'm not sure that is relevant). It came back on my desktop later.

I have a bit of an issue that has started since the newest update.

With the update, as soon as you click the "Quote" icon the "Quote background" appears on the screen while you're typing, as opposed to simply the tags. Unfortunately, that also means that as soon as you hit Enter - to change lines - you get thrown out of the quote...
