i'd like to see the shorts be almost standard team issue. maybe instead of the teal a belgian flag.

i really liked the saxo pink jersey shorts that conti wore this year. almost team issue just small patch of white changed to pink.

Apparently it isn't even a paint job.
It's just a black frame with red and yellow stickers on it.

Same article says he has a custom helmet as well, maybe he hasn't tried it on yet in the picture?

Apparently they're also planning on sticking a card in the spokes so it sounds like a motorbike when he's riding.

You would think Specialized could turn out a Belgian champion helmet for Phil, they were able to eventually get one for Boonen:

Although he did wear a black helmet in that year's Tour, but it's still an improvement over the OPL helmet.

Could've been all red with yellow replacing the white and green.

At least Lotto got the jersey right. Movistar + Leopard have messed theirs up. Also Wiggins' GB one is awful.

QST once again the kings of national champions' jersey design. The Italian TT & RR jerseys at HTC & Farnese Vini are nice though.

HTC's Swedish jersey was one of the best ;)

No way, the old Caisse d'Epargne ones were awesome. What an eyesore! Spectacularly eyeball-destroying! You could tell that the guy was the Spanish champion without a second glance, because he looked like he was on fire!

With the new ones, you're like "it's a Movistar rider, wearing a yellow weights belt... no wait, there's red. That must be the Spanish national jersey".

must be following the sky and leopard trend. I cant even tell that frank is the lux champ.

Sky are actually pretty classy national champions' jerseys - the British and German jerseys are white with national flag bands, so they produced simple, elegant and classy jerseys for Thomas, Wiggins and Knees.

I'm not so convinced by their ITT skinsuits - as somebody who really normally likes the Norwegian champs' get-up (I love the Scandinavian jerseys with the big crosses):

His HTC one was better:

With regards to Leopard and Movistar... at least Movistar's normal jersey looks nice, Leopard's sure doesn't. I don't understand why they don't want to show off that they have national champions, unless it's some kind of ideological issue with them all wanting to make sure they look exactly the same. Or maybe they're just embarrassed by the lack of sponsors and don't want to produce a massive flag jersey and draw attention to the simple fact that there's nothing actually on it.

Is it me, or is Rojas's flag larger than the one Iván Gutiérrez had? Given Rojas's political inclinations, I wouldn't be surprised if he pressured the team to give him a more flashy jersey.

Rojas' flag is clearly larger than Gutierrez's one. Just compare it to the font size of their sponsor name.

I'm not sure that political inclinations have anything to do unless you think that the fireball suit Gutierrez wore last year is not flag at all, or that he changed radically after Christmass.

If anything they are either fighting the sponsor to get more space in that jersey or they've run out of ideas to get something good-looking. I don't like their jersey anyways, with or without flag. They could have come with a much better design using somehow the blue gradient that Movistar uses in their web page instead of the boring all-the-same-fugly-blue-hue.

+1.
The design of the British champion's jersey has been white with a red-white-blue band for God knows how long. Whether it's looking good is out of the question, it's tradition. And Sky have done a good job with the jersey. I like it, whether it's on Thomas or Wiggins.

I didn't like Stangelj's Slovenian jersey, and from what I saw today (didn't see it much), I don't like Bole's either.

There's something off about Phil's jersey. Compare it to Boonen's old beauty:

The yellow is a lot "warmer" on Boonen's. Look at the Belgian flag:

I don't know which jersey is more correct, but Phil's is a bit of an eyesore.
