I have to disagree about Katusha. Their kits have been a favorite of mine for the past several years; this year looks to be no different.

That Lululemon kit also looks nice--it's reminiscent of Liquigas from 2007:

(I'm pretty sure that's Pippo, second from left.)

I don't like that jersey. Loved their 2010 jerseys though

It's... bland. Corporate, and will be difficult to spot from above. But not quite as bad as the previous iteration.

Too many teams are going with what looks cool in the publicity shots and not enough are going with what looks good in an actual race. Far too much black and white these days. Where are the Saecos, the ONCEs, the T-Mobiles, the Liberty Seguroses?

Agreed. i think the issue is i like each of the jerseys in isolation, and think yeah that is nice, but when the riders are racing you cannot pick out who is who and everything becomes bland.

is a worry when s*** brown shorts is the most distinctive look in the field

Euskaltel-Euskadi would like a word with you.

ok good point, but they are harder to see when they are all on the floor.
Especially when Gesink and Menchov were both riding for Rabobank. Whenever you saw someone in orange kiss the tarmac (which was rather frequent) you'd need a few seconds before you could tell if they were Rabo or Euskaltel :D

oh good the T-Mobile team was just fantastic, one of the best kits ever

Eh I'm not a fan of those colors.

It's not about looking good. It's about knowing who's who from the helicopter. There was no mistaking CSF-Navigare.

At the moment there are way too many people going with stylish black and white variations with a little bit of blue or green here and there; it looks good in a presentation, sure, but it sure made helicopter views last year a bit of a struggle, with Garmin, Leopard, Saxo, Sky and HTC all having similar looks from above, and even usually recognisable teams like Liquigas falling foul of the dullness trap.

Thank god for Lampre.

I agree, especially their last ones.

They were a good contribution to the colour palette of the 2007 peloton, which is the best-looking year I can remember. Lots of colours, and easy to pick out the teams.

Haha yeah thats true. From a sponsors point of view you want a jersey that stands out.

Too bad it's ugly as hell :)

The 2010-11 Colnago-CSF jerseys are way better looking.

But the 2008-2009 CSF-Navigare jerseys are simply way better. Much more recognisable, less anonymous. They have a certain amateurish charm - they look SO ridiculously ugly that they're awesome and have a strange sort of appeal, something a stylish jersey like their antecedent cannot match.

There's potential to lift a few designs from (recently) defunct teams. Everyone liked CSC, Caisse, um, Fassa Bartolo jerseys. If there's a desire for more jerseys like T-Mobile's, someone could basically just rip it off. Might be a bit disrespectful to history though.

I actually quite like the kit. Hope it is the final one... as taiwan said, it would be strange that they would produce an original kit for a few races

My dream Greenedge kit would be mainly black, with wings similar to the cervelo test team suits, only obviously different since thats cervelo's symbol... but then the wings would be neon green. That would be sweet.

Would love for a comeback to the Kelme Jersey. If u put it on Chris Anker Sørensen u might even mistake him for Escartin when watching his "style" from helicopter-perspective :D

everything a good shirt should be

the one they used in the Tour was even more epic imo:

Some good old jerseys in that picture btw. Fassa Bortolo, Bianchi, Once (as mentioned) and the good old CSC one.

EDIT: thats not Tyler Hamilton btw, but his evil twin Hyler Tamilton :D

Just popping in this screencap of the video which appears to show Garmins 2012 kit...

Good find.

Funny how the black/a color/white layer cake thing is in now. I liked it alright when it was just one team, but now it looks like we may see RadioSchleck, Green Edge, AND Garmin in it next year.

At least we'll always have Lampre to fall back on...
