It isnt a national jersey though, its the regular kit (must be since its a swiss rider wearing a kit with a lux flag on it)

Really bad as a regular kit. And I dont get the lux flag on it when there are 2 American and 1 Japanese main sponsors.

Last years Shack kit was far better. To much like last years Leopard jersey, only worse cos of the lux flag.

That's a lot of disrespect.

Unfortunately the lighting makes it difficult to judge the lower stripe. It looks greener than the blue on Schleck snr's jersey last year but less green than the colour on everyone else's.

theres a difference though, apart from the fact the sun and eagle has practically gone from the astana kit now.

Astana are sponsored by Kazak companies, and sponsored by the capital city, essentially sponsored by the country. They have mainly kazak riders and the kit doesnt in any way attempt to replicate the standard national champions kits which are traditionally three coloured stripes.

The leopard kit is looks exactly like a lux national champion would look, or the british national stripes, or the italian national stripes, or the spanish national stripes etc etc

1st of all: have always hated the Astana kit. 2ndly: u kinda have to expect something corny when an dodgy eastern europe country is sponsoring a a cycling team

The radioshack font combined with the sloppy way the letters are thrown on to the jersey. It reminds me of a low quality ad for some cheap discount chain store - oh wait, it is!

The astana kit is reasonable in this regard. That team is sponsored by the country and kazak companies, it's basically a national team.

The thing that bugs me is that the team here is a commercial one. A commercial team that decides to prominently show the flag of their main rider(s). That's just wrong imo.

Other than that this jersey very much approaches the design of standard national champ jerseys with the 3 stripes which disrespects the other national champs. The astana kit isn't even close to a traditional nat. champ jersey.

To be honest the Kazakh champ kit wasn't easy to tell apart from the regular jersey. I think it was lighter in color?
