The jersey would be alright if it didn't have the 'flick' in it, otherwise it would look like the stock standard Aussie National Champion jersey. Also ACF, you've just won the internets :p

Jersey is fine. They've made it distinctive so at least that should make it "safe"

SG's National kit is ok too, they bumped the bands lower when I thought they'd have raised them but it's a distinctive kit which is what you need so its already better than the faux-jerseys (Leopard, Chavanel, Sagan, Rojas etc etc).

I just don't get why GreenEdge kept it so 'secret' when it's so similar to what they raced with all summer. Still impressed no one at Santini or GreenEdge leaked any pics.

Well at least now we know lime green, black and white don't go together,

Chavanel's was a training jersey, he will be wearing the traditional-style 3 thick bands.

The replica GreenEdge jerseys don't have the text on the white part of the sleeve and actually look better IMO. Still, I'm bummed, no kangaroos, how are we meant to sell these things to tourists?

Yeah I'm a colour green fan and lime would have to be one of the worst imo. :D

Thanks @ info on Chav

I don't get the change, Cofidis used to have such nice jerseys that always stood out. Even before they went with the red it still stood out and I didn't mind it. I was actually given the 2006 kit as a Christmas present until I ripped it up when I crashed on a descent at 60km/h. Epic fail.

Agreed. And this is the sort of stuff that really gets on my nerves, and I'm quoting from Cyclingnews.com:

"It was the moment everyone had been waiting for. After what seemed an almost interminable wait which included the launch of a prototype kit to whet the appetite of fans for the Jayco Bay Classic series, and the recent Mars Cycling Australia Road National Championships, GreenEdge finally produced the colours the team will be riding in for the 2012 WorldTour.

There had been several hypotheticals, but the result lived up to expectation in every way, with a simple but distinctive look being unveiled at an official ceremony in Adelaide today."

I mean, I understand that there is a CN.com office in Australia and that they probably get paid a bit, but have you ever read more twaddle in two sentences? It must be a world record.

Sycophancy gains access to camps and the like. Do you remember when Sky started out and for a couple of months every other article on CN was about Team Sky, often just Brailsford press release with the first person articles changed to third person ones? Who can forget such timeless classics at "Team Sky perfect sprint train in sprint training" or "Team Sky train for TTs with TT bikes"? Or having articles about the season goals of every domestique on the team?

The GreenEdge jersey is better than I'd been expecting. Not bad at all. Still a bit characterless, but distinctive and noticeable.
