The evolution of what is now AG2R throughout the years:

I love the pink one. Look at the tiny teddybear.

With the fad for retro jerseys going on in all sports I wonder how long it will be until we see teams wearing them. Teams who have been a round for a while could go with the actual jersey and teams with a long history, but different sponsors could use a design from years past but with the current sponsor.

It will never happen, but IMO it would be cool if one of the historical races eg: Roubaix, L-B-L etc allowed the teams to do this for one race.

Movistar could race in old Banesto kit, Rabo/EE/Lampre/Liquigas/FDJ/Cofidis could bring back one of their old designs from the 90's or early 2000's, RSNT could use USPS, AG2R in Casino, Europecar in Bonjour or even Brioches, Saxo in CSC etc.

That would be awesome :D

I assume this must be Christian Helmig, Luxembourger riding for Elbowz Racing ... I don't know why he has a national champion's jersey though? Of course he is not the road champion and I am quite certain he got beaten by Gusty Bausch in the cyclocross championships last month ... or is it an old picture? Nice jersey indeed though!

edit: I see that he is the reigning road champion of "elite sans contrat", so basically amateurs. Maybe he's allowed to wear that on an amateur team then

That's not the same as amateurs. In Belgian cyclo-cross for example the person who's first elite without a contract at the BC to cross over the finish line can wear his jersey in every cyclo-cross race he enters. It's different as the elite's with a contract jersey though. They can wear it in professional races.

I do think BMC is a very good jersey but some jerseys that were ranked lower imo are better. The stregth of BMC's jersey is that it stands out, the simple design and two contrasting, elegant colours.

I must say that the new members of the BMC Racing Team look splendid in the red and black.

A few too many world champs in the roster now for my my liking.... makes it harder to pick out Evans in the peloton.

If Gilbert wins the worlds this year then next year will be just crazy.

I'm in the minority that actually likes the look of Gilbert's bike, but for me the striping is similar to that of Garmin's Cervelos.

I like Gilbert's bike. :)
Also looks German. Robert Wagner should ask for it.

Indeed same stripes as Cervelo. And indeed they suck.
They make the bike look like a deformed bike after a frontal crash. however, it doesn't look that bad on Gilbertos bike.

Are you genuinely saying you'd have trouble differentiating Evans from Hushovd or Ballan based on their sleeve rainbow bands?

No, just when they are tucked in the bunch or from a wider shot sometimes I would look for the rainbow bands to tell where Evans was.

I was just being a bit silly, pretty normal for me.:)
