This is interesting carols. I went to US to see if they had a replay, I haven't purchased the cycling pkg, and I found that for $4.99 you could watch the entire vid...but I'm wondering if that would be the crappy music and no commentary.

I'm still not convinced that I want to shell out the big $ if this is the standard....

thanx for the info

The crappy music on replay is only during the Italian called portion, before US tv came on the air and during what would be the tv commercials. The USA TV broadcast portion has English commentary with Steve and GoGo.

I'm partial to Gogo myself :) Steve I could do without but the combo beats P&P

I actually think Gogo and Steve have great chemistry in a non-senile way like P & P..;-p

btw, your csc avatar....didn't you say you or family were once involved in pro cycling?

..on second look can't quite see but may not be csc...

well, it is advertised at 40 bucks...as I have subscribed last season they sent me a 25 percent off thing...so it's 30 for their spring package...which to me is reasonable as it includes the Giro...if anyone wants to sign up I can give out the coupon code for the discount should anyone want it...

wow gnome, that would be awesome and much appreciated! :)
I was on the fence but as the Giro is really included with the others...and I have been having a hard time watching at 5:30 a.m....this sounds like a reasonable deal.

thank you very much.

Yes it is CSC at the Philly race, the year JJ won. I've met many of the riders as I had a CSC in, alas they became Saxo and it doesn't count anymore, no more corporate tents for me :(

My dad was a domestic pro way, way, way back....I was raised on the sport!

Or just give Eurosport a few quid for their feed with Harmon and Kelly. Although I suspect that Sean's distinctive tones might throw a few people for a while.

You mean no Sherwen, Roll and Liggett? Yes PLEASE!

Thanks for mentioning that. I subscribed last year, but didn't want to pay the increased amount, $40, this year. I hadn't even seen the discount offer. It was long since buried in my inbox, unopened. Definitely worth $30.

Hey, no problem...so the code they sent me is "usncycling"...as it was a pretty generic offer I would think, hope, that it works for anyone...let me know...ten bucks is ten bucks after all...

I would gladly subscribe to eurosport but don't think we can here in the states unless that has changed...anyone know? I too work when most races are on so need a replay...universal has been pretty good...especially considering I used to pay even more money for cyclingtv...which was just awful...another option is cycling torrents NL...that is a really good group of folks and they usually have some version of whatever race up by the end of the day for a torrent download...and folks put up cycling docs there as well...I finally got to see the robert millar film there...they have tons of great stuff...really good group of people there...just fans who love the sport...

How do you sign up for OnDemand or whatever TV version they have because their website is vague and a week old e-mail has yet to be replied to unless it went to spam and got deleted.

Happy watching mew :) be Very Careful if you don't know who won, they move the stupid pics around and you have to hide 1/2 the screen in order not to find out before you start watching...idiots :(

TA has some new guys, English, they are decent. Except I wish they'd learn to pronounce Nibali. Even with the race announcer saying his name in the background, the Italian race announcer, he still insist on pronouncing it incorrectly. Irks me LOL!

I think they might be Eurosport commentators. I think I've heard them before.

After a day of racing in the rain, I was looking forward to watching todays stage of Paris-Nice on NBC Sports, then they decided to reschecule it for 11:30 because of a hockey post game show, seriously NBC? you need 3 and a half hours for a post game show? I gues its time to get universal.

Code still worked for me today... thanks so much Gnome, I was on the fence as were several others. I suppose all this is worth it, but this kind of stuff makes me rather envious of the Europeans and their plethora of options (or just Eurosport).

Well in the USA you need both stations to get a decent selection of races; there isn't any crossover of coverage.

NBC Sports is Really time delaying things though. It's very difficult NOT to know the result by the time they get around to showing it. Still beats not seeing though....

I have to avoid cycling sites/forums for a day or more in an effort to see it with all the excitement of not knowing what happened!

LOL just got to finish watching PN ITT....I knew who won thanks to it being mentioned on the TA coverage :( but at least didn't know how the stage or full podium turned out.

Haha same. When I know the NBC coverage will be at like 4, then I dont check any cycling websites the whole day.

Glad to hear you took advantage of the discount too royalpig. Yesterday even though I knew who won in the morning because I watched the last 10k live on Gazetta feed I was able to sit down in the afternoon and enjoy the whole of the stage at my leisure.

Today knew I couldn't catch much in the morning but could sit down anytime, plug my computer into the bigger screen of the tv and enjoy the stage along with the great scenery!

Carols-- had to laugh as I was thinking the same exact thing about those guys....and Nibali! I was wishing they would become a tad more comfortable with some silence once in awhile though...:D

Eurosports, or whatever link is usable on cyclingfans.com or steephill.tv is all you need. Everyone ought to stop bellyaching about their poor little cycle viewing selves. Screw universal and NBC sports-one and the same. They crapped all over the fans with their recent moves. I've had a great time watching Tirreno-adriatico and Paris-Nice on British Eurosports. And I didn't even have to subject myself to the breathless duo of sherwen and roll. And I ain't going to shell out the money to bankroll universal's greed. There was life before universal, and there shall be life after those idiots too.

Not all of us are available to watch live streams.....that is our issue and why we need other alternatives. Happy for you that you can watch live streams.
