not entirely sure what the supposed starting time for the women's wave was (1:08 or 1:10), but in the end it could have made the difference about the winner indeed. Niskanen started at 1:10, so with a 2s handicap on top, Brennan would have won.

There was no wave start.

yes, but only because they changed it at 11pm yesterday evening. The initial start list had a wave start at 1:08/1:10.
Fis is totally clueless. Now they even want to remove the 2025 Holmenkollen 50km. I hope the pushback from Norway will be strong enough to prevent it.

No it wasnt, far too many flat sections for a World Cup Field.
In fair contidions sections with false flat in classic is great to make a difference between skiers. Like when Bolshunov killed of Klæbo and everyone in double poling at that classic masstart in Engadin a few years ago. This course has a lot of these false flats, where it’s a long continously effort. It’s the same with climbs, longer climbs makes more difference than many small climbs.

Most World Cup courses have many more hills, but they are shorter and the downhills makes every small gap useless.

I wouldnt mind more masstarts on courses like this one. With some muritos inbetween it’s actually similar to cycling.

Yea I think a lot of us were pleasantly surprised by the Les Rousses course, it didn't seem promising on paper but actually seeing it it was pretty good.

Point proven, thanks Nyenget & Dønnestad.

Dønnestad was already the strongest in tge skating pursuit in Toblach, always leading his group.
If Klaebo and Krüger were 't sick they would have selected Taugböl and the sprinter Jenssen over him...

How good can Dønnestad climb up the Alpe Cermis? Otherwise Moch might end up fighting for a gc podium in the end.

Klee, Lapalus and Cyr really strong today.

Klee blew a podium with that corner.

Pellegrino a lot stronger on the steep climb than on the false flat.

Overall a lot better than expected.
