I know everyone will wait until the last climb because of how steep it is, but for christ's sake give them reason to be tired first!

Alternatively, there's a similarly brutal climb just around the corner from there that my Discovering Austria thread will discuss before long.

Completely agree, although as I said on the previous page maybe it's a good plan to see how he does in the Vuelta given freedom. He's also relatively fresh as he's had setbacks this year.

Assume that Sky were just a bit concerned about his withdrawal from the tour de suisse and general injuries this year, and decided he was more of a chance than the others. Shame he isnt there but its not like they are short of options.
