This is a race where Vingegaard beats lesser riders. Think of Remco in Algarve and you get the idea. Also he is defending his win from last year.

Notable riders: Vingegaard, Gaudu, Powless, Rodriguez, Carapaz, Uijtdebroeks, Lenny Martinez, Tarling, Uran, Bernal

In before Cian drops a 2nd place in the TT.

Early season Gaudu can maybe challenge Vingo here.
Ineos with a good line-up, but we all expect the Visma train go mental.

Wouldn't say that so harsh. The startlist quality is really good for an 2.1 race. Of course Vingegaard is the big favourite here and he will likely win, but that occurs to nearly every stage race, where he participates.. Carapaz and C.Rodriguez are some big names here, that have to be mentioned...

Jumbo Visma can’t treat this like a walk in the park if they have any determination to win, as the quality of the field is significantly better this year. Of course, this discussion could be trivial if the farmers intervene.

Last year he won every stage. If he can destroy the competition, he will.

Last year his biggest competition was Jesus Herrada and Ruben Guerreiro in this race..
He'll win again this year but he is against Gaudu, Rodríguez, Carapaz, Martinez and Powless. That's very different competition!
Gaudu finshed over Vingegaard in Paris-Nice last year fx.

Gaudu was in good shape, but vingegaard had a bad preparation before paris nice, because of personal problems. He even had to let sooner than expect the altitude training camp in teide.
