Radioshack´s preliminary selection:

Fumiyuki Beppu
Manuel Cardoso
Philip Deignan
Robert Hunter
Tiago Machado
Jason McCartney
Robbie McEwen
Yaroslav Popovych
Ivan Rovny
Bjorn Selander

10 men, so one still needs eliminating. Nice to see Machado might do his first GT.

Link (Dutch)

He better had, given the rest of that sad line up.
Machado's mountain support struggles to match Anton's.
Lucky they picked up those Pegasus boys on the cheap.
Pathetic, given the strength of their stage racing roster.
Predictable, though.

Wow, the team has four of the best stage racers going around, and hasn't included one. JB must have something big planned for the Tour...

Go Macho Man.

Typical Vacansoleil line-up, expect to see them visible every day. Carrara and Jonny have a good shot at a stage win given the lumpy stages in the first week or so.

Very nice to see see that a young talent like Keizer might get a shot.

Also, no Poels in the line-up here.... Maybe he'll get a Tour spot :D

pretty sure youngest or someone said poels had a free role at the tour also.

I'd like to see Hoogie at the giro tho. Maybe he can get amongst it on one of the lighter stages. if duarte lets him of course. :p

Would not be surprised at all to see Popo suddenly turn into a top 5 rider and turn back the years like his 2004 showing.

But that's another story for another place.

Given their Tour-Cali focus I'm not too surprised but that's even worse than I expected. Not even Zubeldia? Would have thought a Giro-Vuelta double would have been a good program for him.

I would be. In fact, given the contenders and parcours, I'd be absolutely shocked, even considering your 2nd sentence.

i hope he can top 10. if he doesn't JB will prolly make him another domestic and that would be a shame. too bad he pretty much has no team support. also i think cardoso might be able to win one of the thought sprint stages. robbie should be his lead out man :p

O/T what's with the hyperlinking to ebay through the word giro? Who's doing that? I saw it in one of Christian's posts also.

Anyone seen a complete start list yet? I've not. But with roughly half as many flat stages and twice as many mountain top finishes as some years, the pickings for Robbie the old sprinter will be slim. But I too hope he gets a win.

It's actually not that bad. Do you expect teams to put in their best lineups to every GT? It is not possible. Stop Shack bashing!

Just a guess what BMC's lineup will be.

BEYER Chad
BUTLER Chris
KRISTOFF Alexander
MURPHY John
ZAHNER Simon
SCHAR Michael
WYSS Danilo
KOHLER Martin
FRANK Matthias
(BALLAN Alessandro)

So far worse than even the RS lineup. I hope Ballan gets to ride for BMC's sake.

Thanks for posting why you want me to stop Shack bashing.

Zomegnan had to put in 23 teams, just so he could be served up these scraps and leftovers from the table of cycling's nouveau riche.

MV, shack's team ain't that bad for the giro. It's quite decent. Teams can't put their top team into every GT. It's not possible. That's why I said that you should stop Shack bashing.

You're joking, right? This could very well be the weakest team in the race. Most of these names I only know from your contributions to this forum.

No worries ACF.
I was being literal in my reply.
Sorry you missed it.
We can agree to disagree on the merits and availability of the Shack roster and see who is right, come May.;)
