Perhaps it was the Afgan's declaring war on the US?

I'm actually being serious.

If the president of the US didn't make an official declaration of war against Afghanistan, can the government enact a "war time" clause.

I'm not an American, and I'm legally ignorant (as in ignorant of legal proceedings). Although, I'm probably officially ignorant...

Not on Afghanistan, no. But they did declare a war on terror did they not? On any country harbouring or protecting terrorists.

By order of congress. I think that's how they made the Iraq war legal, technically.

British parliament had the same issues.

MartinV may know better. It's really not my area of speciality.

I'm just as ignorant as you!

At the start of the video, you hear Lance say that Hein said that the positive in 99 was a big problem and that they would have come up with something which resulted in the backdated prescription. Listen back, he mentions Hein by name.

The EPO talk is in relation to Ferrari warning them about the new EPO test.

Wait, but i thought Hein pinky swore he wasn't involved w/or knew anything about any epo/doping w/Wonderboy, so you're saying he knew?:D;)

It's complicated. Nice summary here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Declaration_of_war_by_the_United_States

"War on terror" is rhetorically equivalent to the "War on Drugs." Not really a war or a "winnable" resolution.

Monkey mouth is full out on the "I really didn't dope that much" manuipulation. Really, does he think we are that stupid?

His entire life is a lie, he probably even believes the crap that comes out of his mouth.

wtf? Verdruggen and Dr. Lamborghini double? Both implicated in the same Uniballer's interview? Looks like Liestrong is running out of supporters to protect... who's next, Weisel?

Is that a sign of a pathological liar?
Anyhow, Lance is in full-on minimization mode: "it wasn't a pretty time in cycling.. but it was a thoroughly level playing field.. and I was just one the boys doing what I had to do.. but I was also very conservative in my doping.. oh, and everyone is to blame.. I am being singled out.. poor little ole me.. it's so unfair" ...<barf>

lots of cash

Personally think an apology from Armstrong is useless, however I will gladly accept cash.

aye! lots of cash can ease the pain

not many questions being asked by reporters as to where all those livestrong
$'s went?

and why it was spent on air miles rather than cancer survivors?

Lances' own Truth and Reconcilation

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/lance-armstrong-claims-verbruggen-aided-in-doping-cover-up

Are you kidding me?? Lance is contacting those he has wronged in the past like Tyler, O'Reilly, Betsy?? He wants to spin it his own way, remember what he likes, "I don't remember if it was even positive" "I am not clear on the details".

He wants to control things, still be a Don, absolutely no remorse is what is interpreted as Mr. Lance. It makes it much worse for you.

i don't know.
he's a charismatic person, good with words, etc.
can't really blame him for trying to use it to his advantage.
it won't work with everybody, but his strategy, damage contol, is obvious and understandable.

"In the proper forum I'll tell everyone what they want to know. I'm not going to lie to protect these guys. I hate them. They threw me under the bus. I'm done with them."

I want Lance to throw everyone under a bus!

Big year for buses.

Johan might do some bus throwing as well .

Could become an Olympic sport? Throwing people under buses?

There are very few people left who don't know what a ****** he is, especially if the demographic that reads the source of the artical. At least it's good for the people who have been affected by it.

There have been several references like this as of late:

And if I saw my son do that, there would be a ****ing war in our house.

And I guess there you have it, armstrong has daddy issues.

some people need serious setbacks to turn human. not sure if that's disingenuous.

anyway, if the media continue to quizz the guy, he'll continue to seize the opportunity.
and don't worry, the media will continue to go after him. good guy or bad guy, his story is too mediatic.

@hendriksmj Lance's quote in video is most damning: "Hein said, this is a real problem, we've got to do something" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ot...E-Drugs-cheat-meets-accuser-Emma-OReilly.html …”
damning, perhaps. but i find it hard to believe that hein is seriously concerned about this revelation.
if asked, he'll probably stick to the narrative that it wasn't a positive in the first place, so there was nothing to be covered up.
