Oh good god - the UCI are just an absurdity. Every little detail that comes out of Aigle these days just makes me *facepalm*. They're in the wrong business - they should be in stand up comedy.

Or perhaps it's more like a tragic comedy. Yes - I think that's more like it. Pure Shakespeare coming out of Verdruggen and McFake.

It bothers me deeply that McQuaid got nominated by Ireland Cycling again. I understand that it's a bit of an old boys club on the Emerald Isle, but allowing him to continue in what is almost certainly an untenable position is not only ridiculous, but bordering on fraudulent/corrupt. I really don't understand why they WOULDN'T want change at the moment (apart from the aforementioned reasons)...

Well, unfortunately, I DO understand why they don't want change - it suits Cycling Ireland to have an Irishman as the head of the UCI (see 2014 Giro d'Italia), but at what cost to cycling generally?

McQuaid, Verbruggen, the UCI and Cycling Ireland should hang their head in shame.

Never, Never, Never???

Un-f'ing-believable. Could not have said that better.

In the Lemond thread (not like that is a complete ruse to misdirect attention), ChrisE recently tried to get me to agree not to post anymore about Armstrong. How could anything I post trump the truth that keeps spilling out?

The fanboys are worried about me? The UCI is killing them.

And Lance? Lance=Liar.

How can the UCI pretend any longer?

How many others were getting similar treatment?

I know, the answer is obvious... all/most of them.

Dave.

Lance is just the biggest tumor yet discovered in the cancerous body of pro cycling. The UCI is nothing more than a fifth-rate carnival. Armstrong, Saiz, GW1516, Verbruggen . . ..

Nobody's clean and everybody is an accomplice in the corrupt world of pro cycling!

Who was it that said Lance must have had a big emotional attachment to the last place?

Like, we should feel sorry for him that he had to downscale to a $4.3m place?

Lance never had an emotional attachment moment in his life.

Dave.

I was wrong. Maybe things aren't so grim for Armstrong.

Don't you think he got a rush when he sued Emma?

Thanks for the acknowledgement!

Hard to say how grim things really are, though. Even if he pays back SCA, settles with the Times, etc., and even pays all of his lawyers, he could still have one or more $tens of millions. Might seem like poverty to him, of course.

He's been off HGH since 1996, what do you expect?
And, things are not going quite his way lately.

I wonder whose name the house is on.
Cold, cold place that. Not sure I'd get any sleep in that. Creepy.

yes very cold and unemotional-looking 'home'.
It's an interesting design...but it has no family feeling qualities...at least that show in the photos.

Kid-friendly is not how I would describe that long long hanging bridge over the brush....:(

what would one expect from Armstrong...

Not only is it absent any sort of playground or other child friendly aspects, but pretty sure there is the following sign in the compound:

New career as a drummer in much less talented version of Phish. Toke up, dude.

As a bit of a hack drummer myself, I can say with absolutely no doubt, that his abilities and presence as a drummer / musician perfectly reflect the need to be forefront and heard even when the better choice would be 'not to be heard'

Also, no respect for the others on stage..the greater crime.

RIP Little Drummer Boy.....
