a pathetic interview and the cn sure threw several pathetic softballs at the king fraudster ('How much is the current level of hypocrisy a frustration for you?, Do you feel like you're the fall guy for an entire sport/system?')

when asked about ferrari, he is dodging by saying he's not into a 'blame game' but when thrown a softball by benson ('When you came into the sport, it probably wasn't to dope, it wasn't to cheat but... ') the fraudster goes on and blames specific riders and their generations of doping.

a disgusting interview. i am glad i did not watch this circus on oprah.

I know about 97 point five % or even more more reallllllllllly hates Armstrong here but I read the 'interview' somehow more positive. The cheat looks like willing to throw the top of the UCI under the bus, I would applaud to that.

[of course with his own goals, ''I want to play my game - triatlon - cry, cry, let me play again mommy''']

First want to see it of course.

His whole approach that included statements like "Hinault, Lemond..." as winners in eras of drugs and his desire to be involved in the Truth and Reconciliation should be realized for what it is: Lance wants a reset on his history in the sport. He'd like to effectively have the world accept his argument they were all doped, (have all former GT podium guys forced to participate?) that there was a "level playing field" and that he is the Greatest Cyclist of all time. Pure PR ploy to reestablish himself as the best of the Best by framing the reference. Add to that his participation in the T & R process I'd bet he would want to emerge as the Born Again Savior of the sport he helped wreck.
He likes that Savior role and his constant desire to re-insert himself into the media limelight is pretty f*ckin sad.

+1 here on this
Armstrong is too self serving and from what he has done w/r to cycling and individuals I don't feel he has earned any place in a t&r

He needs to stay away

Lance just needs to pull himself together.

Aussie TV show 4Corners to dissect the Immaculate Confession.

http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/stories/2013/01/31/3680186.htm

Monday 4 February 2013

He's a drug cheat, a bully and a liar who abused his best friends to keep a terrible secret, but has Lance Armstrong finally told the truth? The answer - almost certainly - is no.

Next on Four Corners reporter Quentin McDermott lifts the lid on the stories Armstrong didn't tell in his recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, including his efforts to discredit a three-time Tour de France winner. It also examines allegations of his involvement in bribing and race fixing, as well as drug taking. Travelling across the United States, Four Corners talks to the people who know Armstrong well, dissecting the cyclist's so called "confession" and seeking answers to the questions that remain.

Why did Lance Armstrong challenge much of the evidence gathered by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA)? Why did he choose to defend a doping mastermind? Why has he stood by cycling's world governing body, the UCI? And how will cycling recover from the devastation caused by Lance Armstrong?

"Lance and the Truth", reported by Quentin McDermott and presented by Kerry O'Brien, goes to air on Monday 4th February 2013 at 8.30pm on ABC1. It is replayed on Tuesday 5th February at 11.35pm. It can also be seen on Saturday at 8.00pm on ABC News 24, ABC iview (abc.net.au/iview) or at abc.net.au/4corners.

Sounds really good - it makes me hope that maybe there could be a similar high profile TV investigation focusing more narrowly on Lance and the UCI. It's a great story and would perhaps have more influence in outing P&H than the present shambles.

It is self-serving for LA to say this is not about one man, it is about the sport, but it also benefits many sports today to make it about one man.

It is BS from Armstrong.

Rasmussen proved yesterday is more than about 1 man. Oh how he would love it to be about 1 man.

His mother said it best about her own son.

Add to it: Jay Leno will have Tyler Hamilton on his show tonight. His teaser introduction included describing Tyler's situation and book as interesting and that, although Tyler rode with Lance and took the dope; he did the right thing and took responsibility. He then stated: "and we can talk about his experience with that sleazebag Lance Armstrong.....(insert a few audience groans)...oh shut up! You know he's a sleazebag!" Apparently Jay (and Dave Letterman) aren't prepared to cut him any slack.

Which suggests a certain amount of delusion on his part. He is getting more and more divorced from reality.

You nailed it. Revisionist History 101.

Trouble is, even if Armstrong can convince some peole with the 'level playing field' argument, he'll never be able to explain away his extreme cᴜntish behavoir over the years. This'll be his main legacy.

The World outside the Clinic 12 gets it now.

Lance used cancer sufferers and their families to hide doping and cheating. Apparently that isn't playing nice after all.

Dave.

I must agree with OLDMAN..It is obvious he is marshalling the Lance-Lovers to help him throw off the'un-fair'(like he ever was fair) yoke of sin he's been saddled with by the wicked witch from the west, Tygart. He, by force of his will and that of his Lance-Lovers, will cause there to be a TRUE 'Truth-Reconciliation Commision' run by those he has shielded with his holy body, the heroic UCI. He will testify THERE and THERE ALONE, in defiance of the mighty, evil, tax money wasting Tygart. And he shall be blessed, as he continues to shield those holy men, by none other than Saint McQuad. And his thorney crown of guilt/suspension will be lifted from his rightous shoulders by that UCI, as they will be expatiated by those they ALLOW to confesses, what THEY allow to be confessed. I think I'm spot on, any bets?
