Are you saying that the size of the offer somehow precludes Frankie from doing this? I'm fairly certain Armstrong wouldn't have asked Frankie to foot the bill
I guess Frankie would have no reason to deny being involved in an insurance fraud?
I can see why you thought "One portion raised a real concern"

Kind of like sorry - sorry for ever admitting he doped.Bosco10 said:You think Lance is sorry that he lied big?

The legal judgment in the judge's decision cited "puffery". Kinda like you can't sue the local coffee shop for claiming to have the world's best coffee when it's not.
elizab said:Frankie talked to Juliet about it said it didn't happen and said he wouldn't have had the authority to do this on his own volition either. I talked to Scott McKinley yesterday and he said it didn't happen either. He said it would've been nice to have been contacted by her but he wasn't. I've tried contacted her but haven't heard back yet. I don't know why she didn't include Frankie's refutation but as with Wheelmen there will be complaints. If she writes I feed my family fast food because I'm too lazy to cook, she's in trouble
If journalists want to print what lance says, then they should attribute it to him - presuming he did with her (although I don't think she bought 98% of his BS) what he did with the free press.
If Frankie did negotiate a deal - how would that impact on the Andreus?andy1234 said:Forgive me if I simply don't take you at your word, regarding events surrounding your husband.
I'm not claiming that you are not telling the truth, just that you have every motivation to protect your family, and because of that, your assertions can't be taken at face value.
I may be doing you a grave disservice with this stance, but events are rarely as simple as one side good, the other side bad. Frankly, I would prefer to see all the players in this soap opera simply slide away, but it seems neither side will let that happen.

It certainly would look that way - Acceptance won their case that would get LA to testify under oath. He baulked and paid them.Bosco10 said:You think Lance will settle out of court with SCA, as he did with Acceptance?

Dr. Maserati, the 50K was just loose cash lying around. Had the money from the pushing and enforcing until wonderboy took over. Come on get with the program, doc. No pun intended
Indeed - but you cannot just roll up and offer $50k unless it was authorised.andy1234 said:I'm not sure anyone is claiming Frankie provided the money, I certainly didn't.
That really would be a strange turn of events.
Approaching another rider on behalf of a team mate, however, doesn't cost a dime, and wasn't an uncommon practice.
And it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.Race Radio said:Judge denied Armstrong's motion in the SCA case, it will go to the arbitration panel. This is going to be very expensive for Lance

Merckx index said:Then why do you keep obsessing on Frankie? He had slid away very nicely until George, and now you and some others, insisted on bringing him back. Seems pretty clear to me that only one side is involved in this.
Puffery - sounds like a good description of much of la's life.
andy1234 said:You need to double check who is bringing him into these threads.
Who originally pointed out the Hincapie article? Who pointed out the "concerning" passage in this new book?
If RR wants to use him to prove a point, expect it to be questioned.
