“...Now that the heart of the "60 Minutes" story has been completely debunked by subsequent revelations, there's no need for the CBS-focused site any longer,” said Armstrong's lawyer, Mark Fabiani..."

this is so blatantly absurd that I can't believe it. How did these people become 'professionals'...it is beyond comprehension?!

I totally agree that initially I thought the facts4Lance site was a complete parody...what next??? :)

They are lawyers. I figured a fanboy made that site.

The interesting part is many of these 'facts' are going to stand as fact when this is all done. Oh well.

Well, there is also "Cobblestoned" ...

BPC came back so many times that I don't think he will ever be gone. I think he needs this forum.

Facts4lance

As the original person who posted this discussion, I am under the impression the UK footballer Ryan Giggs has been using the same law guys as LA. as he had the same results for spending a shed load of money.

Maybe this has been posted before and I missed it, please delete if so

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...armstrong-its-not-about-the-bike-2294219.html

The Swordsman in the thick of it but I think no matter what happens in the investigation, 10 years of the Lance/Cancer PR machine has done its job judging by the comments. People are clueless and as usual most of them wouldnt have the first clue about cycling. Like trying to discuss something with a child.

LA might want to reconsider because not only did they fail to keep Gigg's name out of the papers, he got done for a bigger misdemeanour, namely for 8 years of carnal knowledge with his sister in law, unbeknownst to his bro.

Seems amazing that trying to run productive members of the forum out is thought so highly of. Pro LA people are just tired of hearing the same old crap from the anti LA camp. One side has to take the high road, Your welcome.

We need a "reality4lance" or "facts4pharmstrong" site

If i knew how to design websites i'd make one
It would be poetic if David Walsh set up such a site.
However, I have just purchased the domain name facts4pharmstrong.org
Once an indictment has come down, I hope we can set up the site to rebut the Fabio propaganda.

You are quite right. One side has taken the high road. Which one? Hint--it wasn't facts4lance.com
Your're quite welcome as well.

The facts4lance website was poorly designed to be sure.
Especially when compared to Spectacular Pro Sites like Livestrong.org/.com
That is to be expected. Pro Programmers vs Lawyers.

But don't attack the messenger.
Attack the facts.
Facts are Facts.

What facts are in question?

They will do the EXACT same thing that the Anthony Weiner supporters have done.

If you aren't American, you might not know the whole story.

-Tweet from an American politician's account showing a man's "bulge" from his underpants was sent out.
-That politician claims that someone hacked into his account, and sent the picture out (clearly implicating the other political party).
-When the politician learns that there is more damning evidence against him, he admits it was him that sent out the tweet of his own "weiner".
-So we now know the politician lied. He blamed someone else for his own bad behaviour.

What did his defenders do ?
I was reading the comments on the American networks websites (CBS,ABC,CNN). Here is how their tune changed over time as the evidence became stronger :

-He didn't do it. It was a conspiracy against him by his enemies.
-He may have done it, but it's none of our business.
-Ya, so what, they all do it.

We can see the EXACT same thing from the partisans of Armstrong (and Contador). They will NEVER admit that their favorite CHEATED. They will have a rationalization for anything that comes up.

Partisans cannot be trusted !

My gut feeling is the Fabricator's relationship will evaporate. Wonderboy is an anchor compared to some of the other clients. If he's doing PR from the gates of a Federal Prison, I doubt he'd get paid because all of the civil suits to follow will tie what money that's not hidden up for good.

Fabiani has provided us with a foreshadow of the closing arguments for the impending USA versus Lance Armstrong indictments.

Ladies and Gentlement of the jury, in reviewing this case the prosecution tells you that they have facts. Why do we even care about facts? We don't have any facts, and they shouldn't either. So I ask you to listen to our words and set aside any notion of these so-called facts.

This follows the earlier argument that: 'We have words on our side, actual words.'

"We like our word."

And that is a fact.

Dave.

When you think about this and similar stories (e.g. messing up history... Paul Revere: "The Americans are coming, the Americans are coming"), it is amazing that we can get anyone to even comment on doping in cycling.

Focus, people, focus.

Dave.

Chewbacca Defense

Why would a Wookiee, an 8-foot-tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of 2-foot-tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests

Is the most likely closing statement from the Armstrong team.

May i suggest;

-He didn't do it. It was a conspiracy against him by his enemies and the French.
-He may have done it, but so did everybody and it's none of our business.
-Ya, so what, they all do it, but he has done too much good for too many.

i am so surprised that they have not started a Livewrong campaign with pics/vids of him and survivors especially children doing 'too much good for too many'.
