So, then she says "I saw Lance in the bar/restaurant/patio and let him know Hamilton was here". All the babble about knowing Armstrong would be coming in, and going out of her way to explain giving him forewarning like she does for divorcees, becomes moot. It's too late to forewarn, because he's already there

This is growing tiresome.

I agree. If true though, would, as with divorcees, she not also be obligated to inform Hamilton?

Don't put words in my mouth! That's not what I wrote. As journalist, I used a police scanner daily. They are not limited to police channels only. Air traffic can be monitored. I never said TH used one. I was citing means by witch journalists gather information. Usually you monitor for flight with problems or problem passengers. It would then be possible to know if LA had returned to Aspen IF using one and IF you knew the aircraft call letters. I was merely stating means by which you could know about an incoming flight and his whereabouts. It's what is possible, not what is fact.

And then, at 2 or 3 o'clock in the afternoon, on a Saturday, you call every restaurant in Aspen trying to find his reservation, then manage to secure a reservation for a large party (by some reports as many as 8), at the last minute, again on a Saturday, in one of the smallest restaurants in town.

Man, these guys are good.

Up until the point where they don't bother to actually have anyone listening to, recording, or photographing (not even with a cell phone), the encounter.

No - this was covered in the article.

Larner said she knew Armstrong would be coming into the restaurant that night and gave him a heads up that Hamilton was eating dinner on the patio with a group. As a restaurant owner in a small town, she said she extends the same courtesy to divorcees when one is coming in and the other is already there.

It would be easy, if they knew it was a restaurant he frequented. You, MacRaodie, would make lousy reporter because you seemed to think that asking a lot of questions is not a large part of the job, especially if your an investigative reporter, which Outside's Abe Streep has been on occassion for that publication. What part of "investigative" don't you understand? Go work as a reporter and report back in a year.

All this does my perception of Floyd Landis is further reinforce the fact that the man is an absolute pathological liar and is very very bitter.

I'm not commenting one way or the other that Lance is guilty or innocent or whatever, but last I heard - Lance never came out and formed fake aliases and companies to slander people. If he's gonna call you a ***, he'll do it to your face.

Ever hear of Public Strategies? BazzaarVoice? 8thOne?

That is perhaps the most comical part of this story. For years Armstrong, and his associates, have used the internet to promote a myth and smear anyone who questions it. Floyd mearly showed how easy it is to do what Armstrong has been doing doing for a decade.

You are mistaken; two examples:

1) LA is Juan Pelota on twitter
2) He hires people to discredit others in his name (e.g. Fabiani)

all thus does is to expose you as a fanboy or an extremely naive poster who has done no research in here or other forums where LA is not worshipped.;)

I stand corrected there, then. A fake corporation sending emails to the UCI though? That's just stupid if he wants people to actually see him as credible.

Thanks for pointing that out. Duely noted.

Actually, I think what he is doing is the most effective strategy against the joke of the UCI and the LA "miracle".

They have more money and power to block legal measures, spam media outlets and control the release of information. Flandis's approach, while appearing reckless, is precisely the type of lose-cannon the UCI and LA fear. He's not scared of anything and calls them out on everything.

But not his ex, Hamilton?
talk about trying to obfuscate

you know damned well that this hasn't come out, one way or another.

however, in my experience, it is usual to extend this courtesy only to frequent patrons you do know.

she'd look pretty unprofessional going up to TH and going "pssssssst! the guy with one ball will be here tonight!" wink wink.
