It won't get really funny until the various true crime shows each start running their version of the story.

Has it come time for people to reveal how they intend to celebrate Armstrong's indictment? Maybe we need a thread for that.

noo...not yet. That might bring bad karma and I don't want anything to jinx this. :)

The fanboys will dismiss it all as a waste of taxpayer money, everyone doped but Armstrong just doped stronger so he deserved to win those seven tours, etc.

funny

It seems funny that the forum consensus went from ...."can not wait to see the perp walk" to there will not be one and "we all agree" that it is no prob because we need to see justice done. No "drum rolls" nuten like that ....wtf happened to Tuesday? It is Tuesday tomorrow and I am waiting for thehogs announcement to Drop. weak sauce if you all give up on that.

No travel ban has been imposed. The right to travel is a fundamental right that can only be restricted after notice and an opportunity for a hearing. In a criminal case, travel restrictions are addressed in a bail hearing. Should travel restrictions be sought, you will hear about it.

This is correct, and has me wondering if the speculation about any indictment is based on something more than him not going to Brazil? Because if that is the sole fact people are hanging their hat on (and the word of the hog), then I am not holding my breath.

Isn't it a bit closer to 9:55 pm there in Houston?

Regardless (and I have no idea if or when he will be charged), where exactly in the US is it Tuesday morning? Weak sauce...

Sorry to rain on the party but I do not think there will be any charges tomorrow....or even this month. This is a complex case with many facets. It will not wrap up over night.

Oh I get it.
Since you are always wrong, you are trying some reverse physchology.
Yikes, Code Red Code Red.
Indictments must be imminent.
Fanboys take your positions.

BTW, it is Tuesday Afternoon in US Guam.

Dammit! Again? It's always, "wait till tomorrow". Every day Lance Armstrong walks this earth a free man is a day of justice denied.

This thread is becoming a “ ping pong “ event ! Left the story at item #7430 from “ Merckxindex(799) at 18.26 last night and come in this morning at #7284 from poursuivant !

Along the way to the current item #7312 there have been updates that appear to come from the missing items ! All the major players have been muscling in on the act !

What time is the TDF Presentation today ? Are ASO going to be able to give the Journos attending “breaking News “?

Obviously there will be many “ journos watching their pager or other gadget to avoid having “ colleagues” pre-empt them by announcing to their neighbours what is happening elsewhere ?

If as stated “ Today is the Day ” why break it whilst so many journos are pre occupied with the 2012 TDF presentation ? Wouldn’t it be more effective on a day that it doesn’t vie for full attention ?

Will JB be in Paris today as he has tweeted and will he if LA is indicted be also served with “ papers ” at the presentation ? More distraction from what most regard as a Major News Story ?

How many of the Podium and 4th placers in the period 1999 to 2005 will attend the TDF event ?

Could we see if LA is indicted a warning from a smug ASO official to those using Superchargers about their futures ?

Anyway off to ride my bike , again sunny and crystal clear air here with a touch of frost on the ground could be later this arvo I will again head up to the Zillertal Hohenstasser at 2000m since it feels like an Indian Summer at lunchtime these days .

True and has already happened, but maybe they'll think twice before donning their ridiculous Livestrong/Nike outfits.

Who said anything about charges? I said there is a statement being made as early as Tuesday but Lance news this week. I’m told from a good source.

You may be spot on with the fanboys. Lots of other people want a fair and balanced investigation done by qualified professionals, Novotzky is that type of person. It would be my hope that if there is evidence of a crime charges would be brought. If there a bunch of petty behaviors that are criminal to some degree the energy expended to pursue and prosecute them will be proportional.
As you said of your NYC source you were informed that something was going to happen before/during the tour.it did, just not from any law enforcement agency in the US. Of all the things Armstrong is he appears to be well prepared as it pertains to his public appearance calender. Each time he goes to a race or event , in order to save money, the press try to combined events and drop a bombshell for him to react to, since lately he doesn't, the story fizzles.
Few things are for certain, if you take cash directly or indirectly for confidential info you will go to jail. I hardly see CN or Velonews having a slush fund big enough to have a source on the inside. If somebody does get indited there are lots of people up the news food chain that will get the info before any sleepy cycling magazine.

Since the start I have said the investigation was a complex one and would take a long time. That position has not changed.

At this point investigators are talking again with Witnesses, reviewing testimony, and finalizing strategy. Despite this we will be lucky to see charges before the end of the year.

The next month is going to be a hard one for you Joe. Good idea to get as many digs in as possible now

Why do you say this next month will be hard?

Sorry to be a turd in the punchbowl - but I do not think there will be any charges this month. This is a complex case with many facets. It will not wrap up over night.

But I will take your advice to get in as many digs as possible now;)

Maybe next month will be hard because there will be more innuendo than usual? Or perhaps an excessive number of drumrolls?

dressed like students. dressed like houswifes?
Our laptops ready to preach the "witch hunt" mantra?

This is a test of the Emergency Alert System. This is only a test. In the event of an actual emergency, this system would bring you important information concerning the emergency. This concludes this test of
the emergency alert system.

The one downside of having indictments announced is that we won't get any more posts like this. I will miss them.

But I have come to realize the following things will not happen in my lifetime:

1) peace in the Mideast
2) Cubs win the WS
3) LA indictments announced
4) Hog stops telling us when the indictments (or something else) will be announced.

But all except 2) might happen after I'm gone...

Same source who said 60 Minutes was doing a follow LA piece?

"a statement being made" - can you be any more vague?

Gotta hand it to the groupies, they are good at shifting the goalposts

For years we heard "Never tested positive" then we found out he had tested positive multiple times. Now the rant is "never sanctioned"

Since the investigation was announced they have ignored the fact the Federal investigations often take years and pretend because there have not yet been charges that Armstrong has nothing to worry about.....ignoring that he has spent $3,200,000 on legal fees for a case "going nowhere"

They held on to the "creditably" mantra for a few months.....until they found out it was not just Floyd.....but also Tyler, George, and many others.

When the charges are filed they will ignore reality and change the chant to "innocent until proven guilty"

What will the babble be when he is in jail? "He is in a country club jail so he is not really in jail" or "he has not become some big guy's boyfriend yet so he is not really in jail"
