But you are NOT saying that Armstrong fans are not fans of the sport also! And they are! Just like you! Deal with it!

Ooo - touched a nerve.
Indeed I neither said they were or were not. So I have nothing to deal with, but it seems you have.

Actually - those 'fanboys' that you allude to (haters) are fans of the sport.
Armstrong fans are fans of the rider.

Wrong.
Ignorant.
Eddy is an Armstrong fan.
Poster Berzin is a Armstrong hater.

There are plenty of links showing both.
Do some homework.

That would be news. Where did you learn that?

Actually, Armstrong's motion to the court in July regarding the leaks amounts to an admission in content that he is the target.

Part of the brief to the Armstrong motion states:

Over the past year, purported details of a grand jury investigation relating to Armstrong and professional cycling races in Europe have been deliberately leaked to the media on dozens of occasions

You operate differently but with the same attempted outcome.

You attempt to be subtle to cloak your allegiance to LA by running interference on any post or poster who supports the case against Wonderboy.

You laud Polish's posts. You have no record of criticising the content and structure of a pro Lance post.

You have a record of running off to the moderators to complain about non compliance with forum rules. I could not see in any of those complaints the target being a known Wonderboy supporter

You attempt to use a courtroom tactic of trying to discredit an anti LA post by dwelling on the credibility of a "fact" on the periphery that does not add to or subtract from the gist of the post.

"Never, never, never"

Rings a bell. Yes. From LA supporter, secret and unethical donation arranger, LA 2006 "exoneration" investigation appointer and one time prospective LA business partner Hein Verbruggen.

Note the use of innuendo: "same attempted outcome . . ." What is that supposed to mean? Something bad . . . But left unsaid . . . .

Also note the phrase "cloak your allegiance." It appears that there must be a nefarious force at work in the forum: The Secret Fanboy Association. People who do not openly support Lance, but who challenge Lance's enemies. There's an "out-group" that you can focus your hate on (when just hating Armstrong gets boring)! Nice McCarthyite touch there!

And guilt by association! If you laud Polish, then you must be a closet-fanboy!

And the good, old fashioned smear! Linking CalJoe to Verbruggen . . . Yech. You should apologize for that.

You shouldn't attack CalJoe for using a "courtroom tactic" when you yourself employ a wide range of questionable rhetorical approaches yourself. Why attack him.

You could have made your point much more effectively by simply typing "I HATE LANCE!"

No, I just wanted to see if you were baiting me by leaving an open implication in your post--one that you could later disavow. And you were!

The fact you hopped on that and missed that it highlighted the weakness of your original post speaks volumes.

No, the letter says that there is a GJ investigating matters relating to LA. That's different.

I am guessing that LA is or will be a target but that's not a fact that is established by that wording.

If Steve were alive, he would have invited Lance.
Bud's. BFF's.

IPOOD lol RIP.

Looks like Lance missed todays memorial event... I mean heck Norah Jones was there...

Wonderful speech by Tim. Wonderful speech by Bill Campbell. Wonderful performance by Norah Jones. This really helps bring closure.

@xtian666:
An incredible and fitting celebration. Tears, laughter and some closure. #stevejobs

@RyanShah:
Just had a concert before work. Norah Jones and Coldplay rocked the memorial for Steve Jobs.

@larley:
That was a really moving ceremony. Norah Jones, Coldplay, Al Gore... Got choked up when they played Steve reading "Here's to the Crazy Ones"

Pretend counsel is playing pretend cross-examination. Read Cal Joe's post again (one of your continuing problems is uninformed shooting from the hip). He threw down the gauntlet that he was not a Lance supporter.

You do not have to be hand led. You can draw your own conclusion

The word "allegiance" does not connotate that a person must be part of a collective.

And guilt by association! If you laud Polish, then you must be a closet-fanboy!
Correct. If you are in simpatico with extremist fanboy Polish and only criticise the construction of anti Lance posts then the hat fits for you to wear.

And the good, old fashioned smear! Linking CalJoe to Verbruggen . . . Yech. You should apologize for that.
No. He linked himself by imitating precisely the words used by Verbruggen to defend Lance against allegations of doping. How would the UCI head honcho have intimate knowledge of LA's predilections about performance boosts?

You shouldn't attack CalJoe for using a "courtroom tactic" when you yourself employ a wide range of questionable rhetorical approaches yourself. Why attack him.
The use of rhetoric is a skill or an art a which, if I have applied, I must have been a failure.

You could have made your point much more effectively by simply typing "I HATE LANCE!"
No, then Cal_Joe would be asking me for links to support my opinion. :) I repeat, pretend lawyer read Cal-Joe's challenge to me in his post.

the ultimate insult -- Coldplay was invited :D

but, actually, this was not the private memorial at all. this was for the Apple staff.

note: LA was not invited to either.

You only have cause to be insulted if you were, in reality, a qualified lawyer admitted to practice in a jurisdiction. You were forced to out yourself, after on line interrogations, that you hold no qualifications or practical experience as a lawyer.

A statement of fact cannot be interpreted in any manner whatsoever as an insult. Get over it and temper your role playing.

How does any of your outburst against me or CalJoe further a rational discussion about Lance Armstrong's doping or legal situation?

Do you really care about what CalJoe really thinks or what my qualifications really are?

Lance could not attend due to "personal reasons"
It's a mankini thing.

CalJoe is one of the handbag ladies. He and his tea party group get their panties in a wad every time someone says something mean about The Lance, so they flail about mindlessly with their handbags, all the while claiming they don't care about Armstrong. It's really quite comical.

An excellent predetermined analysis.

Sounds like you actually went through the posts. Frankly, I've always been a little scared to do that - So, in addition to being a great analyst, you are a much braver person than me.

I was looking forward to having a rational and calm discussion with you about all my shortcomings, but then you had to resort to insults. "Subtle" - you called me subtle. I have never had my integrity impugned in such a vicious manner. Never, never, never. Now I have to go running off to the moderators to whine about someone breaking the forum rules by calling me names.

MarkvW said:

I don't care what he thinks and nobody else should. To tell the truth, I have been thinking about putting him on my ignore list.

Wow. For someone who knows their way around this place, I am stunned that you would contradict the Official History of the Handbag Ladies, which has been hosted on this very CN forum for over a year. Check out the true story in the appropriate social group. And thanks to CN for preserving that ancient document.

You are being very hasty to consider ascribing subtlety to you as an insult when it is considered a compliment of deftness.

Or are you trying to yank my chain? :)

Multiple people all trolling with the same account. Sounds like abuse.

I thought the handbag ladies would all own their own accounts, but it makes sense that they would use the same one.

Did you think Lance will call this interview on 60 Minutes "a vicious hit & run job"?

The production team at the venerable TV newsmagazine show "60 Minutes" have posted a tweet revealing that Walter Isaacson, the historian and biographer who has written Jobs' authorized account of his life, will be on the show Sunday night to discuss the book, simply entitled Steve Jobs, and the man behind it. Steve Kroft will be handling the interview, providing the first detailed insight into the biography, which hits stores Monday.
