Hincapie's full of shyte and always has been. Protecting omerta is his first obligation and first line of defense.

Anything else that comes out will be released by the Feds. He is nothing but a toady for the doping clan administered by Bruyneel and Armstrong.

I've known about this cat for years, even during his amateur days. He is more concerned with sweeping the crap he's been involved in under the rug than telling the truth.

But there are many people who have bought into his "ah shucks, by golly" good ol' boy persona because he hasn't gotten busted during his career. He's just as dirty as anyone else who rode for US Postal/Discovery, and history will prove me right. So what if he's a nice guy? That doesn't matter in the least.

He still did what he did and has tried to cover it up by not talking about it and by using the tired line that "cycling must move forward". Well, cycling will move forward only when what he was involved with comes to light.

That is like having Merckx/Hinault/Kelly/Coppi/Cipo on your cycling team..
MUCH more awesome than any of Lance's TdF Teams.
Its unfair really.

But they will be no match for RR and TFF.
TFF even has a minor in the Maths I think.

Lance's hired team of legaloids mirrors exactly the way he assembled his TdF teams....surround yourself with people who are paid handsomely from your large pocketbook to do your bidding----annihalate the competition using money and dubious tactics to win at all costs.

Ironic that you say 'unfair'.

Hincapie is a total ******..... All this "no one wants clean cycling more than me" krap is outrageous...... He spent 15 years ripping the legs of the peloton riding at 41km p/h on the front day after day after day..... then he'd throw in a mountain stage win for good measure..... If he wanted a clean sport he wouldn't have turned the sport into an utter joke and a mess at the expense of every other team....

I have a nasty feeling LA's eighth "Grand Tour" is going the way of the first seven. These guys wont let it go to trial and that would be as good as a win.

Exactly. I could not have said it better myself.

I cannot overstate this enough-people like Hincapie are just as culpable for the doping that occurred during Armstrong's reign of terror than someone like Dr. Ferrari.

He not only benefited financially but developed a "nice guy" image where even questioning his ethics and morals became blasphemy. It is time we get to the truth.

In my (ages ago) experience in the legal world, "dubious" is an adjective that is most often used in hindsight. Tactics (and strategy) either win a situation/case or lose it. Winning or losing - those are the primary adjectives most lawyers can relate to.

Outside of billings, of course.

Most Federal cases do not go to trial. The vast majority end in a plea deal.

The dream team's version of winning is only 3 years in prison instead of 10

Aren't numerous tactics of LA, in hindsight or at the time, now or were viewed as being dubious?

Examples in currently hanging for a GJ decision:

Facts4lance.com
Intimidating prospective witnesses Hamilton & Anderson.
Filing motion against alleged GJ leaks.

Cycling related:

Backdated prescription.
Payments to UCI and allegedly other parties.
Engaging the dubious Dr. M. Ferrari in late 1995 and denying his true role in 2001.
Selling team issue Trek bikes to allegedly raise unaccounted funds outside of team books of account.
Hiring Johan Bruyneel.
Public admonitions of Emma O'Reilly, Simeoni & Bassons.
Organizing the bulk of funding to the Floyd Fairness Fund.

Other:

Using Livestrong funds in 2005 and 2006 to make donations to Indiana University Hospital and Livestrong board member Dr. Craig Nicholls to assist his case against SCA.
By interpretation, donating $6m to Livestrong in 2010.
By personally receiving substantial consideration for the disposition of Livestrong assets to Demand Media.

The post I was responding to (and my post) concerned recent legal tactics by LAs current legal team. Do not confuse PR with law.

No confusing PR with law. Just exemplifying the post you referred to when mewmewmew13 claims LA was dubious in his conduct in both assembling cycling teams (and use of dubious tactics) and his similar approach to litigation.

Ironic that you say 'unfair'.

You went off on your customary cherry picking tangent.

Wow, that is disturbing. The groupies really have lost it when they think anyone that questions the myth is worse then a pedophile.

The entire article is riddled with inconsistencies - apparently insisting on doping tests before a fight is refusing to fight (between Floyd and Pacman).

They even have a guy who switched jobs (Saban) in ahead of OJ.

To be fair, the author does say he's sure there's validity to the claims.

Anyone think that maybe beer caused Lance's cancer?
He started using beer at an early age.

Also, anyone have the numbers on who uses the most beer in Austin?
Top Ten Residential users would be interesting to see.

Underaged drinking as well?
Is beer a gateway drug?

Six packs after school?

Thanks. I suppose this would be an issue for foreign authorities, not feds, if the transfusions were not in USA.
