Those aussies can't get enough of Lance.

He's got the money now so he's doesn't need to deal with them anymore.

I thought Armstrong wasn't allowed to leave the country?

According to my boyfriend as well as LA's twitter, he's actually at a Canadian Tire in Toronto right now (though I'm not sure what he's doing there, besides hanging out with its "fine folks").

Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Mexico...

Sidenote and mini-gripe: thanks for supporting a huge nationwide chain in a city full of LBS's, Mellow Johnny! Though, to be fair, I'd guess no LBS could (would?) afford his appearance fees. Maybe he'll stop by MEC next.

My guess is if he really wanted to "support" anything, he wouldn't charge an appearance fee in the first place.

Ah yes. Saw a Canadian Tire (aka Crappy Tire) add on TV for Livestrong excercise bikes the other day.

Hopefully they're just paying him in Canadian Tire money.:D

(when you buy something at CT, you get a percentage of your purchase back in Canadian Tire money... which you can save up and spend in the store)

The flaks at Outside should wipe their noses real well with that wool before throwing it away...considering where their noses have been for so long.

I think he's been at odds with them for awhile now. Ever since the blow-up about a Photoshoped cover.

There's been no love lost between Armstrong and Bill Gifford either, for several years.

It goes back well beyond that. Just one example, LA was none to pleased with this cover from 2006.

I always told you to leave this important part to others.
Like always, Lance found a way to circumvent this.
He was travelling with an aircraft carrier all the time.

It's consided as still US ground. The USS Armstrong.

Was Gifford in attendance with Tyler at the OutsideMag Publicity Stunt at CacheCache last year? Wouldn't suprise me at all. Did he visit Lance's residence the following morning with Tyler too? Lance security cameras picked up that visit lol.

It must make Gifford mad that Lance ignored this latest smear from OutSide Mag. Lance did not rise to the bait this time haha. Gifford was probably hoping for a twitter war with Lance. Lots of publicity there. Instead all he got was crickets from Lance and bonifications from the non-fanboys.

Better luck next time Bill:)

Did not know the relationship had gone away. I quit looking at the magazine once they started loving LA. Like everyone that has a love relationship with LA it would end badly.

I was skimming the message boards on letsrun.com looking for some info on the marathon OT this coming Saturday and look what caught my eye....

"WGAF ! RE: Olympic Marathon Trials Will Not Be Streamed Online Live 12/1/2011 5:15AM - in reply to wejoReply | Return to Index | Report Post
You can't win a major medal at a trials so WGAF ! I'd rather watch a reality show. Plus marathons have been a joke sport since Lance Armstrong was featured at the NYM."

Found what I was looking for:
http://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/biking/Who-You-Callin--146--Yellow---Excerpt-.html?page=all

Like a couple of years ago, when I was interviewing him for this magazine and he brought up Outside's July 2006 issue. The cover showed Floyd Landis staring out, next to the line Lance who?

Oh, you know," Armstrong said, "just the guy who won seven Tours de France. Whatever, man."

That s something Armstrong does well: make other people uncomfortable. Even he refers to it as the look." It's how he controls the conversation, his bright light in the interrogation room. Someone gets out of line a rival, a teammate, a journalist and the emotion drops from his face. It's one of the fiercest stares ever. (Pity his kids when they start missing curfews.) He flattens his mouth, sets his jaw, looks straight ahead, and waits.

He waits for you to think about who he is, about the money and fame. He waits for you to think about the cancer and the yellow jerseys. Then he waits a little longer, for you to come to terms with the one advantage he has that makes everything else possible: Take it all away and he could still kick your ***.

But what if he couldn't? What if you were Alberto Contador? :)

"Look, Alberto a tough S.O.B.," says Chris Carmichael. "When you push him, he pushes back."

Whatever, man. :D

Go Aldag - although her did knife Ulle on the doping front:

"Aldag said that UCI president Pat McQuaid should be removed from office for accepting a $125,000 donation from Lance Armstrong without correctly presenting the transaction to the public. “In real life you would say: No one survives an affair like that. One should say: McQuaid did not tell the truth, and he is in that position (as UCI President - ed.), therefore he should go!” Aldag said."

is this interesting enough?

I think so. Looks like he's starting to distance himself from cycling. Kids, no. 1, cancer, no. 2, and cycling "a distant third". Could this be the start of showing cycling, and everything associated with it, isn't that important for him nowadays?

Not sure how he is gonna do that with what he has done in his life so far.

Won the TdF 7 times by doping!!!
Lies continuously denying doping, bribery, fraud, encouraging/implementing a doping regime in his team, misuse of charity donations etc etc etc....

I can hear it now.

TV man: "Mister Armstrong. What does it mean to you that you have been found guilty of winning cycle races illegally?"

LA: "I just wish to reiterate that I have never taken performance-enhancing drugs, and that I have never failed a doping test (on both samples). I just want to get back to the important things in my life now - my family, and my continuing fight against cancer."

Lance won't be found guilty of course.
Not WADA or AFLD or Interpol.
FDA approved USDA Champion.

But the response, those important things - family and cancer fighting, those are spot on. +1

somes up Armstrong in less than one word

Lance with friends discussing the difference between secrecy and privacy. Was also shown alternative uses for yellow rubber straps. Everybody loves those Yellow Roses. Armstrong often wears his heart rate monitor while enjoying a cocktail
