One interesting thing Hein says in the interview is ( in response to why the UCI accepted LA's donations back then) that the UCI continues to fight doping using donations from the (pro-)cycling teams.
He says he finds this "very legitimate".

It's not a voluntary 'donation', though, it's a condition of their licence. 'Charge' would be a better word.

Sounds like he's down to his last "never".

You mean like District 9, errrr Flicker?

Maybe Hein will get the permanent ban too (if we are a little bit of lucky, to quote Johann Museeuw).

Yes they probably realized it wasn't helping their case. I bet mum's (pun intended) the word until he's called in front of the GJ or indicted, the latter being more likely IMHO.

It saddens me to think that I will not have Flickers twisted logic to entertain me any longer.

Heinz has used his last never it would seem except where the tolling is concerned. He still can't clear McQuaid in the press and that speaks volumes.

Yes what an about face from the "never, never, never" following 60' to "game's up" basically. I guess he realized he was better off distancing himself from the Ubercheater.

He doesn't need to clear McQuaid. McQuaid wasn't in charge at the time, Verbruggen was. He's trying to clear himself and keep his cosy IOC position.

i know a guy who saw him eat a puppy. really......

It was a live cocker spaniel and he swallowed it whole! And then he gloated, "I can feel it wiggle all the way down!"

The bastid!

There was a text exchange between a couple of Posties who both saw it. I'll see if I can find the link.

Actually, its a "going away" party for Flicker.
Hookers, blow, private DJ - the works.
BTW, Flicker really knows how to party yikes lol.

You're probably right. However, if I cared what people thought when coming to the link, it would be pretty easy to throw up a temp page stating something relevant about the status of the site 'till I got my WP issues sorted. 1/2 an hour of work.

The LA camp gets the press and PR they want on a given topic and then abandon their position later, not bothering to do much work covering their tracks. If anyone calls them on it they call the person "obsessed", "axe grinder", "bitter" or some other nonsense for simple follow up and put them on the blacklist.

I'd not be shocked if they just abandon the URL. It would fit the pattern.

This is a good idea. Forget my boring technical hypothesis. I like yours better.

Please don't post photos. I'm too afraid the hookers have adam's apples.

Hein Verbruggen said some interesting things in Dutch TV-show Holland Sport yesterday apparently. I didn't see it, but this dutch cycling site has a nice (dutch language) write up about it.
a quick google assisted translation:

Thanks for this. Even the UCI have thrown in the towel. I agree. Time to move on.

That's obvious but his semantics appear to leave some current day mischief as a possibility. Maybe LA's 2009 files are about to appear.

Even if they do, that's nothing to do with McQuaid. He's not a medical expert, he can't interpret them. That's what people like Ashenden are for.

The issue with the UCI is who's repressing them and what are they charging?

Repressing who? Ashenden?

(Not everything you read on this forum is true. A lot of it is nonsense).

Has Lance commented?

Soz if this question is answered. I have been searching the daily news on google news search every day since the 60 Minutes story broke. There's been lots of articles, naturally, but has Lance made any on-the-record or off-the-record comment about Hamilton / Hincapie ? Or is he just hiding behind his weasel lawyer?

I could be wrong, but hiding, as you say. I've only heard responses from his lawyers, but nothing from Lance.

He has stopped tweeting from his juanpelota account. And no tweets from @lancearmstrong that taunt federal investigators.
