I'll tell you what is a waste of tax payers money - is Lance not admitting to doping & associated crimes. If he did the investigation might be over.

And running up more taxpayer funded investigation costs and legal costs by intimidating witnesses and by filing spurious motions.

The real crimes are that w limited cash we didn't follow up on a guy having sex w a 10yo in a college locker room, witnessed by adults. The crime is that after millions spent Bonds still has the records, was found innocent and over charged by the police. Stll spending money trying to sentence him.A few more millions later Clemens walks out because of inattention
by law enforcement.
The guy who admitted using drugs just got fitted for a world series ring. Another one is in Miami spending part of his 250,000,000 dollars earnings for not going to the world series, again. The real crime is that a guy that has been convicted of cheating and taking drugs has set the agenda for some of the US's top cops. Got a guy railing a ten year old but our cops are in France following up on what Landis said. Didn't even take me a second to understand why nothing was done at Penn St seeing how we spend our money. Lots of crime we just have to decide which ones are worth pursuing, or at least ask the owners of the TDF if they care, they don't move on. Landis.-1 win in the record books, Lance no change.

You were previously calling him "Pharmstrong" and now you are calling him "Lance". Why these shifts?

That’s a little silly don’t you think? Both situations have their parallels and that is “no one spoke up at the time”. The Penn State revelation may never of come to the fore if it wasn’t for a brave few and drug use in cycling in particular the terrorism at USPS never would have come to the fore if not for Landis. If there’s one conclusion we can draw from both these situations – speak up. Don’t let populist belief and perceived legend of our sporting legends stop you from speaking out. Hopefully in both cases if the authorities do their job then people can feel a little safer and not be so afraid when faced with similar circumstances. If Lance and Joe Paterno had their way then the public wouldn’t need to know any of their crimes and the victims would live in silence. It has nothing to do with tax payer funded investigations.

You mean they've dispatched all available officers to France? And now they've run out of the manpower to address other crimes? That's quite a statement. True, the severity and ugliness of the crime aren't the same, but I would think that's why the police force is organized into different sections, no?

Come on, Lance, it's been a while since Caché Caché now. Do something, mate, we're getting bored here.

We rely on the hog and his continued idiotic predictions of something happening on days like these. Today is Tuesday. Today is the 45th time that the hog has predicted something that didn't happen. I am holding out hope that he predicts the end of mankind soon so that we may all be safe for generations.

Fabiani told Cyclingnews that he is unaware of how many individuals have been called before the jury to date, estimating at ten, but confirmed that reports that George Hincapie had testified were unfounded. It had been speculated that the former teammate of Armstrong had given a sworn testimony to the jury. However, the BMC rider only talked to Federal agents - a different level of inquisition from a grand jury appearance.

So it was one of those agents who leaked to 60 minutes?

“It’s the cycling world and it’s a small world, so when witnesses are going before the grand jury at least in the past we’ve always known about it. In addition journalists from the AP stake out the grand jury room in Los Angeles every Wednesday afternoon so they know who is coming and going and they’ve not reported anybody since last October,” Fabiani said.

“It seems like less than ten, if I had to guess. So some of the people the press may have thought have gone before the grand jury really haven’t. Based on what we’ve heard from our own sources and the AP, the number is ten or less.”

Can we name them all?

I’m sure [Armstrong has] spent over a million dollars. I can’t say if it’s around two, three or five million.”

And this is in the pre-indictment phase. If he is indicted, how many times more will it be?

Fabiani is spinning hard. Of course he knows that in the baseball case the leaks came from the defense, not the Feds. Wonder why there is no mention of Fabiani lobbying his old buddies who work in the Justice department?

For those thinking this is going to be done next Tuesday, or even this year, don't hold your breath. I don't see charges until next year at the earliest.

I'm guessing early January. None of the lawyers on either side would relish this starting during the holiday season.

I had to laugh at the comment about these Armstrong lawyers giving him a discount rate. Never. Kecker gets around $900 per hour and has more business than he needs. Same for the others.

Fabiani needs to get his lies straight.

First he said that George's testimony was a Grand Jury leak, now he admits that George never spoke to the Grand Jury. George volunteered to talk to the Federal investigators, something some of use have been saying for months.

Yip - its quite a change from this quote to ESPN right after the CBS piece:
"In its unpardonable zeal to smear Lance Armstrong, CBS has also attacked the reputation of George Hincapie," Armstrong spokesman Mark Fabiani said in a statement Sunday. "We are confident that the statements attributed to Hincapie are inaccurate and that the reports of his testimony are unreliable."

The charm offensive has begun. We’re the nice lawyers now…. Defending ourselves against those evil Government agents. Watch for it… its coming.

CyclingNews is not the only organisation they spoke to….. but Lance hates cyclingnews… why speak to them?
