Sinkeldam took it.

That interviewer after the race got his name wrong a few times. That looked pretty bad. Sinkeldam kept asking: "what's my name?"

good ride by BMC nice to see all 3 of them in the final selection. Too bad they didnt win. At least they did a better job than rabo when they have 3 riders in the final selection:D. Santomorita looks good I hope he can support cadel in the mountains for the tdf.

wth? they were crap; absolute crap

if you got 3 guys out of 8 you have to finish it

Nice win by Visconti though :)

Visconti was like Gilbert at last Liegi; simply too strong.

BMC worked nicely and Santaromita was the strongest among the 3 and the most generous.

Nice for Visconti because his opportiunities are limited. Some consolation for carrying the injury at the Giro. He is a bit hotheaded at times though, in the finales.

Stoked for Sinkeldam, after finishing second twice at the nationals he deserves this. I was hoping Kelderman would do the double to be honest, but Sinkeldam is a worthy winner.
He's is having a great season isn't he? First winning Paris Roubaix espoirs and now this.

Yeah, he won Paris-Roubaix in sort of the same way. He did everything right in that last lap, strong and clever guy. I hope he gets a spot at Rabo Pro.

I think I'm gonna make a TGBM banner for tomorrow.
Best thing would be that he wouldn't get it himself.

Do you know if there's a video report available anywhere>?

personally,i think the race shouldn't have took place and it was a disgrace.throwing tacks on the road is cheap and disgusting though, block some parts of the race on the other hand would have been appreciated.
i'm happy for visconti because he didn't win in il giro and he tried so hard,it's a nice reward this 3rd title.but i would rather have seen another guy in la maglia tricolore.

Quote from Geraint Thomas ahead of his title defence tomorrow;

"It's not just a race between us (sky). There's a lot of other guys out there remember. All the top pros seem to be going well; Adam Blythe has been strong, and Cav? We're not going to take him to the line. Good luck to him!" :)

is british one on tv live?

Nope. You really would think sky TV would get something sorted!

This is the best we are getting, I think;

National Championships 2011: TV Coverage

ITV4 will be showing highlights of the race at 5pm on Saturday July 2, immediately following their live coverage of the Tour de France's opening stage.

The broadcast will be made available on their on-demand service, ITV Player, shortly after.

Some of the ****e that gets put on Eurosport & ESPN you think they'd jump at the chance of the live road race with a dozen or more pro tour tiders in it.

I think you take your forum persona a bit too far.

Also, nice to see Grega Bole won the Slovenian RR.

Well I haven't seen the race but the fact they are looking for the win and not riding like pussies is a good thing but Mauro always seems to just get beaten in sprints. The guy deserves a win.

Baldato seemed to be happy:
Santambrogio and teammates Ivan Santaromita and Alessandro Ballan made the select group when the decisive split happened on the seventh of nine laps of a 26.1-kilometer circuit in the 234 km race. At the finish, Giovanni Visconti (Farnese Vini-Neri Sottoli) out-sprinted Santambrogio for the win while Santaromita finished seventh and Ballan was eighth. "It was an impressive display by the BMC Racing Team," Assistant Director Fabio Baldato. "It shows Mauro is on form for the Tour of Austria, Ivan is ready for the Tour de France and Alessandro is ready for his next race."

Agreed, but it is BMC. They are good enough but seem to find a way to **** it up.

BMC beetroot faces.
How could they not win that?
3 men in a break of 8, then 2 out of 4, then back to 3 out of 8.
They end up 2nd, 7th and 8th.
Single attacks all marked by Visconti.
Not once did they try and double tap him.

A very entertaining and cagey race, though.
I'll just show you some of mauro's results over the past 12 months.

2 National Championships Italy (Aci Catena) R.R. 84
2 Giro della Toscana 48
8 Giro di Lombardia 85
6 GP Ouest France - Plouay 67
2 Coppa Agostoni 48
8 Tre Valli Varesine 36
4 Tour de Pologne, Stage 6 : Oswiecim - Terma Bukowina Tatrzanska 10
4 Tour de Pologne, Stage 5 : Jestrzebie Zdroj - Ustron

He's close but can never get the win.

Shame...They better win the Swiss nationals. They have a strong squad.

Frank, Kohler, Morabito, Schar, Wyss, Zanher & Tschopp
