I am thoroughly confused by the Rabobank tactics. This confusion has only been compounded by the fact that I don't speak Dutch, and the coverage is awful.

The tactic of Rabobank is called Boom. Which makes sense, he is their most solid choice. This is typical the Dutch championship tho. You always think the front group is going to win, but somehow...

Spanish race it's a bit of joke when they have a field of 108, and 17 of them are in the same team. Mancebo -with no teammates- is leading the chasing group.

Will she ride there...??? I would says that that's waaaay to close to the start of the speed skating season to be concentrating on something else.

Yes, she should start there (but probably only in time trial), she wants to ride in London olympics and this years world champs is also olympics qualification..

"THE leading group has now swelled to a dozen riders as they head over the top of the Ryals climb for the second time, and it is Bradley Wiggins (Sky Pro Cycling) who led the break over the top to cheers from the vast crowd at the National Road Race Championship in Northumberland.

After missing the initial break of nine, Wiggins and Sky team-mates Peter Kennaugh and Ian Stannard bridge the gap and made it six Sky riders in the front group, which now has a lead of 3-40 over the rest of the field.

The bunch were led over the top of the Ryals climb by Mark Cavandish (HTC Highroad) who appears to have recovered from his earlier struggles, while Sky duo Ben Swift and Russell Downing are also towards the front of the bunch.

As it did in the women's race, the three-humped Ryals climb strung the field out, and created the initial break which included Sky trio Geraint Thomas, Chris Froome and Alex Dowsett as well as Leazes Criterium winner Ian Wilkinson and Rob Partridge (Endura Racing), Rapha Condor's Kristian House, 100 Per Cent ME's Mark Christian, Steve Lampier (Sigma Sport) and Ian Bibby (Motorpoint)."

Irish National Road Race (Men)

1. Matt Brammeier (HTC)
2. Dan Martin (Garmin)
3. David McCann (Giant Kenda)
4. Nicolas Roche (Ag2r)
5. Sam Bennett (An Post Sean Kelly)

Brammeier retains the Road Race championship, while Bennett retains the U23. Quite a weeked for Brammeier, who also won the TT.

Martin was clearly the strongest man in the race, working to pull back breaks and launching attack after attack himself. The parcours really didnt suit him but he still managed to slowly get rid of everyone bar Brammeier, who rode a smart race.

I can see another july fail coming up. Great. So typical that everything you look forward in a year is being ruined.
First the Giro because Contador was too strong. Now this.
