bad news for cervelho.. four or five riders in the new breakaway...
we all know how well they can mess up having a bunch of riders in a split.. :D

pick a winner from this group.. theyve got half a minute already and nobody seems to have missed it.. unless they just having a leg stretch...

im still having the dream faeries telling me big george, and that roger H is going to get a podium..

damn.. eurosport gb, the french, italians and spanish are all on commercials.. :/ are they going from central production or something.. :(

I'm rooting for Flecha.

It's early but I'm surprised Chavanel and Devolder didn't make that front group. I'm torn - I'd love to see Quinziato make it back to the lead group after his flat, but that would also mean Chav and Devolder made it back to help Boonen.

Wow, Devolder and Chava missed the move! Boonen and a teammate are still in the group up front, but that's not the best for Quick Step's options...

thought they where both in it.?

edit:
both in the group with boonen and one other...
looks like big george gonna have to play it alone, until they catch the early breakaway..

nah.. its coming back together a bit..
or it was the quick steps in the little group off the back..

its changing everytime i type.. :D

oh.. the secret faeries that told me RH was going to get a podium are now telling me is going to be stopped at the side of the road by a french hairdresser carryinh a rucksack.. :(

whats the deal at races on assisting...

for instance george obviously having trouble getting the wheel off, is it against the rules to hold the bike up for him while he removes the wheels, or do you just stand by the side of the road taking photos..

is outside assistance forbidden.. i know in the tour you often see people being picked up, helped out etc.. but assisting with wheel changes.. ?

what an idiot motorcyclist.. :(

eurosport saying maybe pedestrian stepped out, but we have just watched it on sky+ so we can rewind, just before the motorbike hits you see the shadow of the bike wobble, looks like the idiot hit the kerb first and then the crowd...

So, of the favorites, who's out of the picture right now? From what I can tell, Maaskant, Devolder and Hincampie are all toast already (ie. not with the lead or chasers)... anyone else gone?
Burghardt, Hammond and Leukemans as well.

Boonen is impressive today, but he has that damn Pozzato in his wheel again, following his every move but never willing to take over. He already lost the Ronde that way, why do it again today?

And now all of a sudden Lotto looks strong, with 2 riders in the front six. Flecha is following every move, if he can launch an attack close to the end this might be his day.

Pozzato is looking smooth as usual too. Cancellara looks like he doesn't quite have it all back, sadly.
