Definitely the best stage of the race so far. And it only took them two weeks!
I think with Lance the only question at this point is if he can hold on to his position over the next two stages, and then to Paris.
The only question on Contador is whether or not some disaster befalls him. Because at the rate he rode today, the Tour is over.

The funny thing is that after today, I don't really have to even write about Lance. He is no longer a factor, which is what I said would happen. Me and others have been hounded by fanboys with single digit posts for the last 2 weeks about all of this, and the fact is that after today, many will never be heard from again. The guy has been off the bike for 3.5 years and his nearly 38 years old, yet he has handed many a 20-30 year old their *** on a plate in this race, regardless of the TTT etc, the guy is second overall.
Can't take anything from Contador so far though, he is in a different league to the rest of the peloton, I will be doubley impressed if he puts in a top 3 in the TT on Thursday, all the great riders have been good at both climbing and TT'ing, it's a real pity he wasn't in it last year, this would surely have been his third tiur win in a row.

Moving on, I cannot stand the guy because of what he has done to people who have merely expressed opinions about him or testified to what he said in hospital rooms. He has given me little to no reason to be "objective" anymore. I used to be an Armstrong fan, right up to the point where he chased Simeoni down. After that, it was clear who and what he was. I give little to no leeway to anyone like that until they give reason to do so. He wants to come out and apologize to Simeoni, Bassons, Betsy Andreau, and others, I will listen and give him all the respect in the world. Until that day, he can blow me.
