Thanks Bala! Now can someone please get him some EPO?

I just listened to Breukink on the radio. Of course he hadn't talked to Menchov yet (he was taking a shower), and 'didn't know why he had lost time'. He said that it could have been due to the crashes in the last couple of ks.. Which is not unlikely, because Laurens Ten Dam was supposed to help him, was in his wheel when he crashed out. So He might have been 'isolated' in those last couple of Ks, in addition to his obviously naive positioning - read the back - in the peloton. He might have been behind a break when the sprint was being launched. Quite stupid, given the fact that he knew Freire was going to step it up on Montjuic...

Tomorrow we will see his real form, and it would not surprise me that taking the month off and the conversation with the Austrian authorities, will have 'impacted on his Giro form'...

Congrats to Thor, who had a much better last lead than Freire. Pity, a win might have done wonders for Rabo. As for Menchov, quite honestly I think that we can now dismiss him completely. In fact, I'll be surprised if he makes it to the rest day, no?

He might go stage hunting, but yeah I got the same feeling today that this stage was a big let down for the team overall, with Menchov losing time, Frieire losing the sprint, and the crash.

Where's the thread for stage 7?

Anyway, now we'll see how much better Evans' climbing has become as a result of his weight loss this year.
