Jesus Uran, what the hell are you doing? Took 2 seconds before he realized that Vino started his sprint. What a supermega fail.

It looks too obvious. That was after Vino spoke with him very deliberately.

Uran then looks off in the other direction as if birdwatching.

I will go as far as saying Uran robbed the olympic gold from Kristoff. Having trouble finding words for how *** Uran rode the last 5k.

Very bad result for image of the sport. Every story outside of the usual cycling media will be about the drug cheat winning, not about the style of the win.
Only if they live in the past, because the drug cheat died in 2009.

How was it a massive fail from GB? What were they supposed to do when teams like the Germans failed to commit to the chase. GB did all they could, they just didnt get any help. If the Germans had worked they would be guaranteed a medal, they didnt and they got nothing.

+1. there's a difference between a loss and a fail.

Best race of the season

The last sentence might be hyperbole, but it was certainly the overachiever race of the year, i.e. the race that promised the least but delivered the most in relation to that.

Borat enjoyed supreme victory.

Uran - coward, rode for silver as soon as they had a gap
Spain - cowards, three guys in the break and they all sit on

I don't agree he rode for silver. They both took turns so that's bs.
The final moment will lead to an endless discussion wether Vino bought this or not, but if Vino really did buy the race I hope they wouldn't do it this obvious don't you think?
I don't believe it:D

GB came here to win, nothing less. Im sure they are disappointed.

Theres a difference between being disappointed and being a massive fail. GB will look back and think there is nothing more they could have done. will Griepel etc do the same?

Not really. GB did what they could. Aussies did nothing. And given the lack of results in the Tour for Greenedge you have to say they have really failed.

Aussies didn't need to do anything. They had O'Grady in the break. GB knew this was coming their way and they failed to respond. They knew all the other teams would be throwing breaks at them at every opportunity and they failed to get anyone in the break. Big fail for GB.

In all fairness, that Uran "mistake" looked a bit...planned.

That's absolutely what it looks like. Vino is said to have done this before hasn't he with Kolobnev, etc.??

Pretty happy with Kristoffs bronze, but I do admit I got a sour taste in my mouth. First because kristoff probably would have won if they didnt let vino go and because vino do have som history with some bad stuff.

Nah. Winner was good, last 10km were good but overall unimpressed.

Anyone hear the "Gracias!" from Vino to Uran when the shook hands after the finish?

Yeah obviously you'd say FAIL when he congratulates you for the win.
