There's just no reason for it whatsoever.
Magnus said:Of course you could remove the rule and then it would be a slightly different discipline where timing the 'lead out' isn't something you have to be able to do. Just like you could remove the offside rule in football and get a slightly different game. Basically you could say about any rule in sports that there is no reason for it, but any rule there is about a game defines the game in some way.
