Im also interested to know how many here are female.

they say cycling has one of the highest percentage of female fans for sports.

As someone who wants our sport to increase in popularity, the demographics of cycling fans do interest me.

Might do a poll for that too.

I thought that too.

From what i remember about peoples ages,

Ruben (Dekker Tifosi) is young enough to win white jersey at the Tour de France this year and i think next year
Moondance is from 1988.
El Pistolero is 19 y.o.
Michael veedeebee is 18.
The Youngest is in his 20's though i think later ones/
hrotha said he was 11 when Indurain won his second Tour.
Jamsque seems to be significantly younger than Freire,
Craig 1985 speaks for itself.
ACF was born on the 94th day of the year, but around the same year as Craig.
Parrulo is a student somewhere.
Ryaguas is 23 or some such i think.

And me, well i was still a teenager when i joined this forum.

So you are one of the youngest. But I think Eric3A is younger than you
You have a fascinating recollection of other forum members Hitch. Either you have a very impressive memory, you take notes (which is worrisome), or you spend waaaayy too much time here.

I'm old enough that someone my age making the podium at the 2009 TDF was an impressive feat. One thing I like about this forum is that teenagers and pensioners alike can discuss something of mutual interest. That does not happen often enough in the 'real' world, probably to all of our detriment.

Well you dont have too bad a memory yourself seeing as you remembered Wonderlance's first post, the lucidity of it, then 2 months later when he started to talk like a 4 year old pointed out that you knew his incorrect grammar was fake as you remembered his posts about Ayn Rand.

Hell you were able to call me out on it about a month ago when i said that people wanted to kick wonderlance out when he started, you remembered the conversations from 1 and a half years ago.

Very true, but in fairness I work with the mentally disabled so WL stood out pretty quickly. He and about 10 others...:D

I think ACF is a year younger then me. I'm actually one day younger then Andy Achleck (Andy is June 10 1985, I'm June 11 1985).

I suspect I am on the high end of the age scale.

It would interest me too as to how many other women are active in the forum. I am alway surprised how many of the users I approve are female --which is a pretty dumb thing for me of all people to think.

There are 10 people who contribute most to CN, five women and five men.

I'm a big Borussia Dortmund fan. They were really good in the mid-nineties (Bundesliga Champion '94 and '95, Champions Leage Winner 1997), and then they sucked more or less until last year. This year they are the best in Germany and they just beat Bayern Munich on Saturday. That was by far the best game of the season, Bayern played really well too.

Australians might have heard about it because Mitch Langerak (former Melbourne Victory) made his Bundesliga debut

You saw a good game ?
dude, that was like putting a fresh boxer into a ring with a boxer who had a fight the night before.
Bayern-players nearly fell asleep like Schweinsteiger.

That game in Mailand was what I call a good game.
Full fight, both teams on high level and intensive highspeed soccer with lucky end for Bayern.

But anyway, BVB deserves this championship. Hope they can keep it up next season and not fade away like Wolfsburg and others.

I didn't see the game in Milan so I can't compare the two, but the first 30 minutes on Saturday was intensive high speed soccer too IMO! The second half was a little more quiet, but Bayern still had a few good chances by Gomez and Kroos for example. Robben was disappointing, especially when he tried to get a free kick by falling! Schweinsteiger just had a day to forget ...

I am really optimistic for BVB's next seasons as well ... they have a very young team of players who strongly identify with their club: Grosskreutz, Schmelzer, Sahin and Götze are even from their own youth. So I hope this team is going to stay together for a while!

But hey, they were tired, especially mentally. Schweini was best example. Now they have to play on wednesday again against Schalke in cup, but at least 3 days to recover instead of just 2 days.

Really impressive what Kloppo did with all these young guys.
They have to keep them together. Sahin has already a format for Barca or other great clubs.
Sad that he decided to play for Turkey.

To be fair I only did it because I was referring to what Cobblestoned had said:

:)

Sorry, I thought I had to do it. :D
I prefer football.
There is also american football. :)

So, what is the most accepted CN-rule now ?

ahhhhh Still remember the giant Jan Koller and Rosicky in their very prime... Rosicky still plays but is not the same... I know that they are not the team of mid 90s but the team of early 2000 was really good too!

That team was good for about 1 season, but it can't be compared to the current team I think, neither by quality nor team spirit.

Jan Koller was awesome though, great player with great spirit and sportsmanship. He even played as goalie once for 20 minutes against Bayern, and consequently made the team of the day as a goalie. I saw him last year at a charity game with Zidane and Figo. Rosicky was good, but he was too expensive and they should never have bought him (and others) because that nearly ruined the club

Going to China in late April. It will be the 20th country that I have visited, and no doubt there will be plenty more to go to as well.
