Wiggins needs to learn how to use English. "loose"? Really? I thought he was one of the smarter ones...

Anyway, ask Wiggins or Leipheimer when the last time they saw the whole péloton slow to a crawl to let contenders who'd crashed back in at Paris-Roubaix.

If Wiggins was that upset by what Movistar were doing, Sky could easily have gone to the front and slowed the tempo down. But that would have jeopardised his likely victory of course.

So instead, what he's done is benefit from Movistar's work, do nothing to stop them making him a bunch of huge gains... and then once those gains have been made, then complaining about the bad sportsmanship of the guys that did it.

It's a bit like somebody giving you a forged cheque for you, depositing it, waiting for the money to clear and THEN reporting it.

Or better, it's like that time a couple of years ago when Andrey Arshavin was awarded a penalty even though he gestured to the referee that it wasn't. He was the captain of Arsenal that day. But he still let Robin van Persie take - and score - the penalty. If he was really upset about taking advantage that way, he'd have deliberately missed the penalty or passed it to the goalkeeper. But no, he was happy to take every bit of advantage, and still take the opportunity to look like he was perfectly moral and upstanding.

Somehow I don't see, let's say Michael Schumacher (Sebastian Vettel, whatever) crying after the race that everyone didn't slow down after he had a bad pit-stop (spun out on the track)

But yeah, now i'll definitely be cheering for Westra tomorrow

How come Tony Martin is 22/1 tomorrow? Is he sick?

Well he can't beat Wiggins in a flat TT at the moment, so I can't see him beating him on a serious climb.

Westra's obviously in good form, but Brad took half a minute out of him a week ago and this climb will suit Brad tomorrow. I think Brad will win this fairly comfortably tomorrow.

Geraint Thomas: "Thought we were in the final of San Remo today. Not a fan of teams attacking on decents!! Especially after crashes..."

Wiggins: "Feel sorry for @LeviLeipheimer what a **** way to loose all, got done from behind #badsportsmanship"

So those of you who say Movistar didn't intentionally increase the pace because Leipheimer had an accident...well, clearly the riders in the peloton don't agree with you, but I guess you know better

yeah of course we know better because we see the race and the riders don't they simply hear what they are being told

Just watched the stage, and it does appear that LLS amongst others spoke with movistar regarding their pace after the crash - then perhaps I'm reading too much into it.

I'd bet if Wiggo had but sky on the front after the crash, many of those on hear would change their tune entirely and be berating him for not waiting. Still, thats how minds work on here.;)

Anyways, top ride by Lord Thomas of Gent.

If I wasn't feeling so lazy, I'd actually write down all the people *****ing about Movistar in this thread, and see if any of them posted in the "top Schleck excuses" thread, so I can make fun of them for having such double standards

:mad:Greghenderson1: Sorry to see @LeviLeipheimer the legend lose GC in such a **** way. Didn't deserve that.

@Cathwiggins1981: Watching my #parisnice recording...just when I thought it was impossible to think less of Movistar...

@Mattbrammeier85: Sounds like movistar boys made even more friends in the peleton today.

@GeraintThomas86: Wasn't an attack?!? They heard the crash, looked behind, then got out the saddle and accelerated very fast... If that's not an attack, what is?
