Well, in all the hubbub over Levi's triple trip, poor old Thomas de Gendt's super solo has got somewhat buried.
It was always on the cards that he would go for the breakaway win; it's his forte.
Whereas, it was always on the cards that Levi was going to be put under pressure on the descent:it's certainly not his forte.

Thats the British media for you. Its all build 'em up and knock 'em down. Zero impartiality - though to be honest the Guardian is generally one of the better ones.

Given Westra's form, I for one wouldn't play down his chances.

So when was the third crash ? on tv it showed the corner fall where leipheimer got a different bike...and then the motorbike crash....when was the other ?

Good win by De Gendt ( happy i said he would get in the break ) and Vac are going great here. Taaramae was surprising that he could not hold but i guess he is still suffering.

Yeah, TDG is one of my favourite riders - always willing to have a go. Hopefully he can pull something off in the classics.
