So with one typo on a tweet, Wiggins is now illiterate, is that what you're saying?

Nah, Wiggins isn't illiterate. At the same time that's an extremely common error (and one that gets up my nose a bit) so I wouldn't say I'm convinced it's a typo.

I also disapprove of him pretending to be offended only after making sure that he profits off Movistar's behaviour, and I can't stand UK Postal either.

Anyone got the record times for Eze - jens, halamala?

1969: Merckx 20.40
1970: Merckx 20.14
1971: Merckx 20.43
1972: Poulidor 20.04
1973: Zoetemelk 20.44
1974: Zoetemelk 20.38
1975: Zoetemelk 20.59
1976: Laurent 20.51

1978: Knetemann 20.14

2000: Klöden 19.31
2001: Frigo 19.18

In the 80es and 90es the TT had additional flat section at the top. So the times are not comparable. Maybe someone got the actual climbing times for thise years?

If it's any indication. Thomas Dekker doesn't even bother going on his TT bike since it's purely uphill. Prefers road bike for this one...

I wonder what the top contenders do

Tony said that his team doesn't use TT bikes, too. Just handlebars on the normal bike. I guess, everyone will do so.

Don't know what year, but the record is 19'-45" and is held by Sean Kelly.
Distance 10kms or so.
Helps when he is co-commentator on Eurosport.

No way in hell Kelly was faster then the riders during the Epo era.
And how can he have the record if when Klöden and Frogo clocked in faster?
Or do you mean the record for the 80es?

I wonder if people even look at the profile and see this is not your normal flat time trial but a climb time trial where time trial capabilties hardly matter.

The climb isn't steep at all and in general, it's also fairly balanced, so while still being a climb, it's actually made for the guys with time trial capabilities.

I would love nothing more than for Westra to take the spoils, however, I'm inclined towards Wiggins having this in the bag. He can power-climb up a hill as good as the best of them and probably keep a higher steady pace than Westra. I think it's gonna be too big of a task for Westra. I can only hope that he proves me wrong. However, if he doesn't make it I hope it does not take the shine off his performance, cause if we're honest it was above anyone's expectations.

I predict a top 8 finish for Pate, at worst. Maybe Top 5. 44 ahead of Gretsch at the first time check. That's something

21.30, will it do for a top 8? I doubt it.
