a bit suprising he must be recovering from yesterdays efforts but well see in his finish time.
Peraud just did 19:46 so there s not much doubt the winning time will be under 19 minutes as he has been on relatively poor form.

He wrote yesterday in his blog that his team asked him to take it easy today. He fell yesterday and couldn't move his right hand for a min or so so they were worried.

Porte at 33 seconds
More and more proof this is a mountain ITT not a normal itt

He's only 7 seconds faster than Bart de Clerq for crying out loud.

I just hope he goes for it even if the course is far from perfect for him.

I was just kidding. But I guess even in top form, this course wouldn't suit him enough for a stage win. Solid top 10 should be within reach.

Porte's not in his best shape.

Porte: I'll be going full gas on the time trial tomorrow because I want to see where I am after my illness and my fall earlier in the week,

Peraud has been climbing considerably worse than Porte, so thats no proof at all..

I think it was obvious Porte wasn't going to do well after the sickness and the hard fall on Stage 2.

But Peraud is naturally the more talented climber. Due to lack of form he can't do well in normal stages, but a short effort like this is different

No way in hell Kelly was faster then the riders during the Epo era.
And how can he have the record if when Klöden and Frogo clocked in faster?
Or do you mean the record for the 80es?

You asked about the old course, which was used during that era.
That's the record for then.

So maybe under 19 is not so likely, given the correct times 10k in 2000/2001.

still those were 400 meters longer.a stratospheric westra-wiggins can go below 19 here
