Pretty pathetic bit of riding by Bahrain in my opinion

Yeah how dare they keep trying to reel the break back in so Colbrelli could have a shot at the stage win

They had no shot.

No shot ey? I've seen bigger gaps than that pulled back in races in less distance

Ok. Can you tell me when it happened at Paris-Nice on the final stage with a sprinter of Colbrelli's caliber doing it? If not, stop wasting your time. My observation is limited to THIS race under THESE circumstances.

Calling people cancerous, aid s or asking for SKY to die is just dreadful...mods ??

Why are these coments allowed on here...everyone rode the race as they chose and that is cycling

Bravo Alberto but also great great ride by Henao who never gave up ...chapeau

if only Contador fans had 1% of his class
Did you report the comments? Or do you expect me to go back and read almost 1900 comments to find them...

Clearly one mod is rather biased, which is a pity.

Yes, I want the team that has a way too high budget to disappear from cycling. They have more than the 3 next richest teams combined.

And that's leaving out all the clinic stuff.
and leaving clinic stuff out your man shouldn't even be in a modern peloton

I actually didn't expect Contador to gain any time today, but he pulled off a great one and just missed it. If he would have won that sprint (or dropped De La Cruz), would he have received additional bonus seconds for the win? Like 2 seconds more?!
Yes, he would have gotten 10 seconds instead of 6.

I'm biased because I was disappointed that AC lost? Okay, whatever you say.

Cancerous chase group helping Henao for no apparent reason than getting to the team bus half a minute earlier.
Why? That's racing. There was still a very outside chance of a stage win - gap was only 20 seconds or so in the end. Not like they were 5 minutes back.

Are you serious? There was no way in hell they could catch the front group.
So why were they pulling? because they like Henao better than Contador? LOL.

Yes, riders like Contador, Boonen and Nibali shouldn't be in a peloton who consists of wheelsuckers, idiots, people who work for nothing etc.

Some of the mods are very much pro Berto, so thats obviously gonna show up a bit in the moderation, thats only human nature IMO.

That's one of the most ridiculous arguments I've ever heard. That's like saying Contador shouldn't have attacked because it had no shot of working, because it didn't work in THIS race in THESE circumstances.

The truth is that Trek had no riders in the break, and that's probably the reason why Contador didn't win it.
It's not the other teams fault to try to win stages. Though I honestly don't get what Soler was hoping to achieve with his nonesense.

That Henao is the Sky rider that won it makes it almost bearable.

Alberto will be remembered as the most exciting GC rider in there. Sometimes it pays (Fuenté Dé) sometimes not. Chapeau !

Do people here not watch much cycling? Teams/riders work together for many different aims and today was no different. The way some are posting today reminds me of all the hate Gallopin was getting last year in this race when he was working to protect his place in the GC and in turn Thomas held onto the race lead by getting the tow. It's cycling people!!!

Wow a lot of butt hurt fans.

In reality I think Contador had more help from other teams than Henao over the stage.
Matthews started riding with Contador while Contador needed it most, if Matthews had not done that the COntador group likely would not have made it and Matthews could have sprinted for the win. And the UAE guys helped Contador for no real reason as Ulissi himself was also pulling and because of that could not stay with the group. De la Cruz also took pulls to take Soler back but that was logical as it was for his own gains.
Henao had help from a rider from Delko for a bit (till Henao decided to drop back to the group with Seb Henao and Nieve) and in the end a bit from the Bahrain guys who had a reason to ride (though the chances of getting back were obviously very slim).

A great race and in the end a deserved winner (Contador would deserve it as well ofc)

This is just getting ridiculous. How many stage races has Contador lost by less than 10 seconds in the last few years? And especially the two PN defeats hurt because he lost both races not because he was weaker than his rival but because his rival was in a stronger group on the final descent. And both times his rival was a sky rider which makes the pain even worse.
And btw, he already has 6 2nd places this season. Even Sagan would be impressed by that.
