Not a great precedent for the future when it comes to attacking yellow jersey after the crash/mechanical.

Not crashing on descents is part of a cyclist's skillset, and when it happens twice on the same stage (and almost a third time), it's not down to luck. Grand Tours have been decided due to this and also in recent history, there's no reason why the same shouldn't apply here.

"Enjoying riders getting hurt" has nothing to do with it. People are enjoying the sporting outcome of the race, and you are projecting your own wish to demonize these people by vilifying them in an untruthful way.

Like I said if you enjoy the misfortune of others which entails the strongest rider falling and getting hurt, riding kilometers solo with multiple abrasions,

Schachmann is a deserving winner who did what was needed and was the 2nd strongest GC guy consistently. For Roglic, he leaves Paris-Nice with 3 stage victories--so, hardly a bad week. He looked to have a lot of road rash, but hopefully he's not hampered by the injuries going forward.

what a pathetic way to win for Bora. Roglic loses and yet again looks like the real champion. in the wind on his own for 20k chasing and never gave up, I think Shachmann spent about 15 seconds the entire week in the wind. stupid stage.

Schachmann looks like someone who "won" because the leader crashed & they went full gas to distance him. I'm not sure how the optics works well for him when all people saw on tv was Roglic in a heroic solo struggle for 25km.

Rogla seemed not to be hurt too badly, despite the road rash. He was still moving well on the bike. I'd be more concerned about the potential injury than losing GC here, but I expect he'll be fine in a few days.

And another pretty low-key GC podium for Izagirre. Quite remarkable that he can just keep accumulating those. This was his 10th overall podium in a WT GC!

This was his first in Paris-Nice, though, but his fourth top 7 placing in the race.

The most crazy thing about that was that he actually won the four stages before ever riding a Giro stage in Italy as he for some reason abandoned immediately after having won two stages in 2014.

Yea but you don't remember the romantic side, when politics and social agreements regulated behavor, before this hedonistic and ruthless individualism set in. It was no different with sponsors and teammates 30-40 years ago, and yet there was a certain chivalry.
