De Gendt is in the break. I guess we know who the winner will be now.
It's actually a pretty good finish for him. He is not the fastest but can handle more hills than most sprinters.Biniam Girmay FTW.

Philipsen can win maybe, but this is way too hard for Jakobsenwill depend on how WvA feels after yesterday's crash, yeah. Jakobsen said they will gamble a bit, don't contribute to the chase, and see what the situation looks like in the end
Yes and there's also his 2nd place in Laigueglia from 2020, he seems to be more than just a sprinter. It's actually a pretty good finish for him. He is not the fastest but can handle more hills than most sprinters.
I think his 2021 season and Drôme performance this year proved that he is more of a Matthews-esque type of rider.
I don't think so. It's just not steep enough, so it will be at high speed and all about power. Bennett or Jakobsen ftw.Philipsen can win maybe, but this is way too hard for Jakobsen
They'll be on a 3%+ gradient for over 2 minutes, Jakobsen got absolutely creamed on a 2 minute hill on Sunday. Yes it wont be 8W/kg to hold the wheels but it will hurt his sprint much more.I don't think so. It's just not steep enough, so it will be at high speed and all about power. Bennett or Jakobsen ftw.
personally I don't think its too easy for Roglic but he wont win as there are two even better options for a finish like this within his own team.Philipsen can win maybe, but this is way too hard for Jakobsen
Also way too easy for Roglic
900 m @ 7.6 % is harder than Cauberg, of course he was dropped there when they detonated a nuclear bomb. Here the gradient is similar to the stage Jakobsen won in the Vuelta, it just goes on for longer. They'll be on a 3%+ gradient for over 2 minutes, Jakobsen got absolutely creamed on a 2 minute hill on Sunday. That stage was like 500m on a drag max coming in with a full leadout? Thats not remotely similar.900 m @ 7.6 % is harder than Cauberg, of course he was dropped there when they detonated a nuclear bomb. Here the gradient is similar to the stage Jakobsen won in the Vuelta, it just goes on for longer.
Jakobsen has taken away Froglic's green jersey.
The scenery is lovely as well. You can tell it's not spring yet because the trees don't have any leaves, but otherwise the sunshine and all the green make it look like the riders are having a pleasant ride in the countryside.Lovely weather this week.
In France they use the terms chateau and fortress chateau. It was a fortress chateau.Ooooh, a castle, or is it a fort? (I don't have the sound on, it's much too early for commentary.)
