If I was preparing here for the classics, I would DNS today to prevent catching whatever bug is going around the peloton, could be a struggle for all those who have fallen ill to be at 100% in two weeks unfortunately...
Sadly I fear you are being wise here. It does appear to be super contagious and with the Covid experience still fresh in everyone's mind there has to be a concern around this level of dropouts in a major race.

A shame the break got away before Croix de Chaubouret but it's still decently strong. Nothing from Ineos or BikeExchange unfortunately.

Might come to an American showdown between McNulty and Jorgensen. Both came to the wise with gc ambitions, I assume, but would probably be happy to take a stage win instead.

Simon Yates must be the most random cyclist in the peloton.
In his day he can be very good TTer and the best climber.. When he is off, he can be terrible. Thing is you never know who is gonna show.

About Jumbo, completely expected performance 1-2 was pretty much locked for WVA and Roglic an Denis seemed to save himself (??) for the TT.
At least with his climbing you can usually say that he's much worse on multi-mountain stages in the high mountains when it's a war of attrition.

The break won't get 10 minutes with Fernandez in there, but McNulty should be able to finish this off is his form is still there.

I hate that quote. Every box of chocolates I've ever had tells you what they are. It's stupid.
I assume you've never had a box of ''pralines'' from Leonidas or such. Because you actually don't know what's inside each chocolate. Also, the quote in the movie is from an era decades ago, so chances are that back then it was actually like that.

Surely Almeida must be sick and unlikely to complete the race to be getting dropped on medium mountain stage even before Jakobsen and Philipsen.

It's the same every year, lots of people who ride the Arabian races in the "heat"/warm weather get sick when they race in Europe with cold weather shortly afterwards.

Great strategy from the Portuguese Robert Gesink, riding alone to avoid illness and keep his competitors guessing about his form

The goal of Jumbo-Visma should be to keep WVA in the yellow after today's stage. Just in case the Saturday stage gets amputated.

What is the peleton doing to get so many cyclists ill? It's not even covid.

Sure it could tell you what it is but it still doesn’t mean you know what you get. It could sound amazing but actually taste awful and nothing like it sounded.
