Of course the changing weather conditions made a difference and you add to a slightly tougher route then you have a blow out in times.

Well UAE got about as much as they could hope for - to keep so many together will be a bonus going forward. Lucky with the weather maybe, but well ridden. GC has been shaken up so let's see who wants to win the GC and who is here for training (thinking of van Poppel's comment about keeping Roglic safe).

I think it's great for week-long stage races to still have TTTs, so long as they are early enough so that the GC is wide open.
I am not a big fan of TTTs, especially in shorter races, and would prefer an ITT. However I don't mind the weather, the road circumstances or a unique format giving an unexpected result.

God forbid great champions like Roglic and remco have to work hard for their victories, and are not handed them on a plate thanks to their team budget and domestiques
