So what context do you need the adults to provide them, that you apparently think they didn't learn? The fact that most Danes seem quite indifferent reg. religion doesn't mean Skjelmose can't be religious, and perhaps I need context from an adult as well, because here I thought honoring the national anthem with holding your hand against your heart simply meant being proud of ones country??

No, doing that is not something that has ever been done in a Protestant country. The only excuse is that the world is globalized, and people see all kinds of things, in some cases thereby taking over habits and traditions without understanding the background of them.

I can safely say that neither Vingegaard or Skjelmose are Catholic.

If you're a classic rider now you just DNF right? Seems like the only thing you can get out of this now is an injury or sickness.

Well, just because you're not expected to do it, doesn't mean you can't do it.
I quite like that, tbh. That you can just do what feels right to you.
Except for doing a hand-stand while the National Anthem is playing. That would be weird... cool, but weird...

We might see weird things here. See a lot of riders already shaking with their hands to get some warmth.

EDIT: To be fair though, it's currently freezing at the village and it will begin to snow this afternoon.

Ask carolina. She was the one who posted it had been mentioned on Portuguese ES.

There's also this article from last year:

Hadn't seen that article before.

What a great read!

Have you put it in the Skjelmose forum?

It was always a possibility that it would be OK by today, but perhaps better that changes of plan were made at a time when any operational or tactical changes could have been made rather than being faced with last minute changes had they been necessary. I guess it depends on how many days in advance the forecasters would have been confident that it would be passable by today.
