Surprising some trying to find an excuse for a guy who started road racing at 21 is now faster than an Olympic and world champion 4k pursuit dr over 5km!
What kind of comparison is this? It's an 11 minute effort vs. a 4 minute effort. And this one is uphill.

Who cares about the pursuit. Put Cancellara on the track and he breaks every record.

Slow down.

I was comparing the 5km intermediate times. Not the final times. Porte was 7secs faster than Wiggins at 5km.

You read should next time.

If the bosses of this forum/site had any balls they would merge the Clinic with the professional road racing section.

When it quacks like a duck....

Hence an 11 minute effort... perhaps you should take your own advice?

If I'm reading it right, it's not as awesome as Contador's attack back in 2007 Paris Nice considering it came near the end of a 130km stage and he clocked a faster time than all the TTers...

yes but in pro cycling it happens pretty often that some go as fast in an itt as after 200 km in the legs. it's not unusual
plus he had some really good drafting at huge speed for like 3 minutes
and that was one of the strongest versions of contador like ever

^ it's nothing about doping here Parrulo. being fast is just because you are good and professional about your job
Do you also have the times in Chieti? The new run-in should make it harder, so I'd expect them to be a little slower, but then again they were almost flying today :D

2002 just called. It wants its watts back.

When did cycling become comedy?

5.8 watt, yes totally ridiculous  why don't you go to the clinic, that's the place for people like you

300m? At 5km.

Uphill?

Staggering.

Porte was a triathlete. Not a climber.

Now he is a pursuit champion.

didn't you and the orther cronies in the clinic say that without leinders this year sky, would fall back drastically? oh the irony...
