Very good but he wasn't close to winning. He will not have a chance. I have wiggins vibes with him
Nah he's much, much more powerful than Wiggins. He's also like ten years younger than wiggins was when he tried roubaix (twice). I doubt he'll ever be a Cancellara but if it's a softer race and he is able to improve his cobble skills to the point that he isn't desperately trying to close gaps on and after every sector he could definitely win
 
Can someone tell me why Philipsen is not DQ'd?

Unless they can prove it deliberate I don't think they can reasonably DQ him. He clearly lost a bit of grip and was looking for a better line, but his losing that grip slowed him down and caused MVDP to have to come around him. It's just bad luck for Degenkolb that that was the moment he had chosen to make his move on the inside, causing him to get squeezed for space. It wasn't in a sprint or anything like that where there are special rules regarding staying in your lane.
