no he's not. He isn't following MvdP when he does a big move. The very best chance winning this tailwind edition is going in a move (if your name is not MvdP).
If your name is MvdP, you have to make sure your team holds the lead group at a close leash as even MvdP can't close a gap of e.g. 2 minutes on a lead group with 50K to go.

Not a smart move of that Bora rider pulling the peloton closer to another 5-men move, as that would mean 12 men in the lead group and a much bigger chance of surviving.
Now I think the move has good quality but not enough people + with 5 guys less, there are 5 teams more chasing / attacking in the peloton.

The last couple of years there aren't many in between moves (after Arenberg) that can get away from the favourites' group.

Yes, agree. Strong riders but 7 is too low to have enough in the tank late on probably.
