There was a bit of talk about it earlier in the thread, yeah.

Sep Vanmarcke tested it for Belgian press and he gave it a 9/10. According to him, it slightly increases the risk of flat tires, though, and it takes a while to get pressure back up after the cobbles (1 km per bar), so you lose some power in those parts. Especially in the sprint it can be of advantage, though, and generally works well.

That could happen in the “olden days” but with Pogacar and MVDP there’s not much lollygagging going on like there was at intervals during today’s race (when Norsgard and then PFP slipped away)

Eventually they‘d have a lot of cobbles and could Drop them out of a helicopter onto the riders.

Yes. Break formation will be long and hard for everyone. Side tailwind 18-23 km/h and higher guts around 40 km/h. Not extemly high wind but favorable conditons for echelons all day.

The Kubis one is nice. And Pogi talks a lot about "the team", as if he'd be happy with Politt or Vermeersch taking the win.

But seriously why, he is only racing it because he wants to win it and bag all the monuments, otherwise the risk / reward doesn't stack up. Also, the field is stacked with people in great form - does Politt really have a good chance against MVDP, Wout, Pederson and Ganna?
