Yeah Pogacar playing Van Aert like a fool here, let's him do the majority of work to stretch his back and get ready to attack him on Pevele and Carrefour de lArbre
Van Aert still looks decently fresh, it doesn't have the same feeling as this point in the race last Sunday. You can argue whether Van Aert should be doing as much as he is, but it definitely isn't completely indefensible like it was for Van der Poel at Ronde.

but the velodrome sprint is always different to a normal road sprint, because they do that slow lap thing, and its about who remembers how to sprint for the track sprint line.

so I dont think its necessarily about who is better/quicker in the outright sprint, its about getting positioning.

Its inevitable it would go like this, but it's unfortunate that the other riders aside from LaPorte in MDVPs group don't do some hard pulls to help out. It's the only way they can come back.
Let's see how it ends. If van der Poel finishes last in the group, you're right.

Nicki Sørensen commentating saying that Pogacar is opening up small gaps on purpose, to make WvA think he is losing ground and thus lure him into into bigger efforts.
