Normally it's for Boonen, but of course Ballan & Pozzato will be there as well, top 5 will be completed with Leukemans & Flecha

Does Chavanel participate? I don't consider it a race suited for Chavanel?

What to think of Greipel?

Boonen first, Pozzato second. I"ll go on a limb for Van Avermaet third.

Boonen might be marked, but unlike Cancellara he has the team to handle being marked. My concern with Boonen is whether he peaked just a little too soon for the double since (a) he was on a tear during the semi-classics and (b) he did appear to be on the ropes on the Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg. But as he showed this weekend he can survive to the finish and out-sprint everybody. The only potential contender who could possibly out-sprint Boonen is Thor, but I don't see Thor making the selection.

The one with the best prediction should get some sort of price :p

Anyone got any ideas?

I'll be using a point system or something to determine who got the best prediction.

I am feeling like Boonen will be ever so slightly tired and has lost a tiny bit of focus.
my top five:
Pippo (would really like to see him pull this off)
Ballan
Boonen
SepVM
Chavenel

not so convinced of this order though....

Pieri's odds were only 1/3 so I eventually picked Tafi. Should be easy money in the pocket.

Hope you don't lose too many pounds when betting against Pieri! :p

But seriously, Italy seems to be on the right track again for the classics though. They've always had some history with the Ronde, less so with Roubaix. Must have been ages ago since an Italian last win Roubaix. Probably Tafi :p

Boonen is easily the favorite for this. He is one of the top 3 strongest riders and is pretty much the fastest sprinter in the whole race + has a lot of experience. Pozzato will undoubtedly try to drop him but it will be difficult (ill be rooting for him though). A break wont win this time with OPQS being so strong they will try to keep the race together. I wonder how Hushovd will do, I know he sucked in flanders last year and was strong in roubaix so he may end up doing well, but as of now it'd be hard to say that he will finish top 5.
1) Boonen
2) Pozzato
3) Terpstra
4) Ballan
5) Leukemans

1. Boonen
2. Sagan
3. Pozzato
4. GVA
5. Ballan

Without Canc it's hard to see past Boonen, as long as he stays with the front group and doesn't have any bad luck in the final kilometers he will take the sprint. If it weren't for the crash at flanders Sagan would probably have been in the Boonen group so I think he can manage to podium.

1. Boonen, super strong favorite.
2-5 is a bit more fuzzy, but Id say itll probably be some combination of Pozzato, Ballan, Degenkolb, Chavanel and Van Marcke.

1. Boonen
2. Pozzato
3. Vanmarcke
4. Terpstra
5. Chavanel

The only way I could have seen Boonen finishing outside the top 2 was him and Canc just marking each other out of the race, or bad luck. As it is, I think OPQS will look to dominate and control the race. OPQS to do their best to whittle down the bunch, leaving a small group with several of them. Pozzato to go, with only Boonen able to follow. Tommeke lets Pippo attack him several times, before countering once, and entering the velodrome alone. Vanmarcke solos from the remnants of the bunch, before Terpstra and Chavanel drag each other to the finish.

I would have thought after his Flanders performance he would be their main guy for Roubaix also,
