Because people have said that Juraj is better than Peter.

Really? What is that based on?
I don't think riding Paris Roubaix would burn Peter out. It's not like it the tour or giro. Though with Gilbert off form, Peter has to be looking good for the Ardennes, maybe saving him for that.

Haha funny! In the procycling magazine article about sagan, juraj admits he will never be a winner like sagan and will only be a helper.

Sagan isnt riding roubaix and is instead saving himself for the ardennes. He said that if he could choose a race he wants to win the most it is Liege. So maybe he will be like Gilbert in that he is competitive in MSR and hilly cobbled classics and then the ardennes will also be a main focus.

Easy, they don't want to burn him out. As incredible as Sagan is, he's still only 22.

Isn't he doing the tour? he should be able to recover from flanders and roubaix in time for the tour and the olympics. Didn't they make him do too many races in his first year as well.

I'll believe that when he does something.

Ballan. Cancellara is no longer racing and Thor is not going very well. He is much stronger than last year and I feel he will be able to get rid of Boonen and the others on the Cobbles to victory with his very strong form.

Ballan
Boonen
Pozzato
Flecha

Yeah, it was definitely the hills where he really shone in RVV. Maybe they thought that if he was unlikely to win PR, he'd be better off keeping himself fresh and safe for the Ardennes. Certainly not a bad idea.

Also Juraj > Peter? Wtf?

Without Canc it's hard to see past Boonen, as long as he stays with the front group and doesn't have any bad luck in the final kilometers he will take the sprint. If it weren't for the crash at flanders Sagan would probably have been in the Boonen group so I think he can manage to podium.

GVA is not riding. He's never liked Roubaix.

I agree, I definitely think that being on the same team as Cadel will be a deciding factor this time around.

GVA is definitely more suited to the more hilly classics, he may well find himself with the captaincy on recent form.
Ballan is looking good, but with roubaix being a flatter I can't see Ballan going away from Boonen 1 on 1. Maybe working with Pozzato. Those 3 really were head and shoulders in Flanders.

During the USPRO Challenge, they said that during the race commentary.

That is true but he aso doesn't like the hectic nature of Roubaix. He has said he is not good at gifhting for position which I guess explained why on quite a few occasions in De Ronde he was far back going into the Bergs but worked himself up on the climbs.

I still don't expect a major role for Terpstra and Chavanel in Paris - Roubaix. They are hilly/cobbled riders. Both haven't really showed they are good at Paris - Roubiax.

Voted for Boonen. Can't see who will beat him now that Cancellara won't ride.
It's a bloody shame we won't see a battle between Boonen en Cancellara now that both seemed really good.

I know that P-R is not easy, but it's just one day, so how could that burn someone out for races 1-2 weeks later? Disappointed not to see Peter Sagan racing as I think he would have been a strong contender. But if he wins an Ardennes classic then the team can say that they have made the right decision I suppose.

3. flecha +26
4. ballan +26
5. Devolder +1.01
6. leukemans +1.01
7. degenkolb +1.20
8. veelers +1.20
9. Oss +1.20
10. Pozzato +1.20

In my opinion, Boonen in a decent form can only be bested by a teammate, whom he won't jump after. I'll give it to Terpstra as there are always a few favorites with a lot of bad luck, such as Chavanel will have this PR.

Boonen to win- or Chavanel/ Terpstra who should have free rein in some areas. They look so strong and they shall be attentive.
One of Ballan or Flecha, ( ably assisted by my favourite Classic Hardman domestique Hayman ) neither of who can sprint to probably get on the podium with people like Vanmarcke, Pozzato, Degenkolb, Hushovd, ( hopefully Paolini ), Leukemans, Sagan ( who should finally be in all the decisive moves ).

I think Gallopin could do well for RSNT and maybe GE can show themselves.

I think Vanmarcke ( along with the whole Garmin team ) will be the factor pushing Boonen the hardest along with Ballan/ Flecha ( BMC and Sky ).
