Nah, good on her. Its good to see womens teams getting a bit more of a spotlight and good to see some PT teams starting or having womens teams.

Yes I know I've just been hoping for so long for Chris White to name a genuinely good signing and I was hoping that he managed to snare a Gossy or Richie or even a Meyer. I guess i better just give up hope.

Aye, news front has been quiet lately. Would love to hear about a big name(s) announced. Even like you said, some of the current Professional/Prof-Continental Aussies being signed would be good. Its a test of our patience! :D

3. The UCI period to sign riders will be between August 1 and October 20, whereby the points of each rider will decide the team ranking.

The rider values will be calculated on the basis of the UCI World Ranking, Continental Rankings, U23 Ranking, podium places in Grand Tours and victories in the most important events (World Calendar, HC Class, Classes 1 and 2, Continental Championships, National Championships and World Championships).

So it won't be a long wait anymore > 10 days and counting !

i didn't think cam meyer had re-signed for garmin yet. In fact if he hasn't there might not even be room for him in the squad next year.
I could be totally off-beat though.

Does anyone know ifthis really is how it will be calculated, or just a suggestion? Can't find anything on the UCI web page.

completely different, seeing as, as far as I know Cam has kept very quiet on the matter and its only the journalists rumouring. So no, not even slightly similar.

Thor Hushovd to Pegasus is still on

Again the word is out ...

! There is a clause in Thor his contract with Garmin-Cervelo that states if he became World Champion in Australia he was free to go ...

So no lie ... Thor is on to a Preemptive strike

that sounds like a rather daft clause, don't see it.

It's looking increasingly unlikely that Pegasus will get Pro Tour, at least next season.

With any luck we will start hearing about sponsors and some big name signings soon. Its fine to say we are going after Hushovd and Cancellara, but so is everyone else.

Lets start seeing some action!

Well that article revealed a few things. Whether they're true or not, we'll see.

1) Sponsors could've pulled out.

With the trickle of info we've received since the worlds (Thor rumour, Scott bikes, Garmin DS) I don't think this is true. Would be **** though

2) Waiting for the Contador scandal to blow over.

Not sure why, the best time would have been last week between the WC and Paris-Tours, riding the high that was an excellant RR in Geeelong.

Wasn't Gillette rumoured to be the sponsor? if so I wonder if after the Tiger fiasco last year they've got cold feet getting involved in a sport where the main story at the moment is drug related.

On the other hand is does state that Chris White is coming to Europe next week, would he be more likely to announce in Europe or Australia?

Europe's the battlefield (so to speak) and Australia's the base. You'd like to think he's announce it all IN Australia, but he may just settle to using Rupert Guinness of the SMH, he seems to be breaking a lot of the stories.

The only Gillette sponsorship rumour I heard was in this thread title.

I sort of hope it is Gillette because, apart from the dodgy animal testing backstory, there has been a lot of unkempt facial growth in the pellington this year and it needs sorting out.

They would probably get more interest in europe than aus. Aus media would not give a **** about it but I think in europe they would at least give it a little bit of interest with cycling being popular over there.
